Am not usually one to post these kinds of threads but this is so sad. I've loved her since childhood and am currently in the middle of a Schitt's Creek binge to take my mind off the usual winter bugs. She was such a fantastic actress and so, so funny.

Weirdly while doom scrolling on X today a short video popped up saying how Tim Burton was really unsure about using Day-O in Beetlejuice, that he didn’t think it would work & people might not know the song. And there was a clip of the marvellous Catherine O’Hara doing that now iconic dance 💔 For those who’ve not yet seen it, she is interviewed in the recent John Candy documentary. She speaks so wonderfully of the time they all spent together on the Canadian comedy circuit while trying to make it big. Rest in peace Mrs McCallister (As you’ll always be to 9 year old me) 💔

I finished my latest Shitts Creek rewatch yesterday. I can’t believe that Moira is gone. She was so wonderful.

Imagine thinking your input is so important you come onto a thread where you know nothing and feel your contribution is so important you have to express yourself. Because inside your own mind your lack of knowledge makes you superior.

I absolutely love her in all of the Christopher Guest films. Her performance in Waiting for Guffman is chef’s kiss.

Very sad. Schitts Creek is amazing and she was brilliant in everything she was in.
