I don't know if my mum rage is out of control but I went to Asda pizza counter and they were closing so I was told as soon as I joined the queue of 2 people that they were shut. They don't display time and the lights were on, so I was a bit annoyed.

I went to look at the premade pizzas, very annoyed but I didn't say anything to the lady. She then asked how many pizzas I wanted, I reminded her she was shut so why does it matter.

Aibu - either shut and be shut, or serve people?

After telling someone you are shut then why ask them how many they want? To give them further disappointment? Either say "I'm sorry I can only do one pizza" or shut.

She probably asked how many you wanted to see if she had enough toppings left to make them up.

Op I hope you are ok. I answered your post in good faith but you are rather defensive and it's making me wonder why you posted.

She could have communicated just one but maybe she realised she could have accomodated two or three, just not half a dozen and was checking.
It's a shame you didn't just answer the question. After a day on her feet in a supermarket and probably keen to get home to her family, she shouldn't have to put up with rudeness.

Have you never changed your mind? Said no to something and then thought actually why not?

She was an arse by telling me straight away she was shut. And then rudely ask "how many pizzas do you want" without putting any context in it

How much more context do you want? You were at a pizza counter, not strolling along a beach. What could she possibly have been talking about other than how many pizzas did you want?!

Being asked how many pizzas I wanted from a member of staff who told me they were shut is a twat thing to do.

You can feel angry without owning it. Try to put some perspective on this and future interactions.
