I don't know if my mum rage is out of control but I went to Asda pizza counter and they were closing so I was told as soon as I joined the queue of 2 people that they were shut. They don't display time and the lights were on, so I was a bit annoyed.

I went to look at the premade pizzas, very annoyed but I didn't say anything to the lady. She then asked how many pizzas I wanted, I reminded her she was shut so why does it matter.

Aibu - either shut and be shut, or serve people?

You are probably correct since name change to reflect her mum rage anger at lack of pizza. Is 'mum rage' a new thing? Is it more acceptable than 'dad rage' or 'supermarket rage'?

When I read “mum rage” I keep thinking of the character Mumm-ra. Just for context, it is a mummified demon priest but was always quite bad tempered.

Perhaps she was closing at the end of her shift, but thought she might help you anyway.

If you hadn't been so abominably rude to her you would be enjoying your pizza now instead of sitting on Mumsnet being abominably rude to people replying to your post.

You will probably find the world a better place for you and everyone you meet if you stop being so rude. Try being nice in future and control your "mumrage" (whatever the fuck that is).

i was just using her language. God knows. I feel like I have endless bottomless rage - like I’m a volcano, fury is my default go-to emotion, I am powered by pure anger - and even I would have told the Asda lady how many pizzas I needed and listened to see if she could help me at all, and even if she couldn’t, be grateful that she went out of her way to find me after her shift and try - so god knows what the OP describes as mum rage.

It’s not a rage I’m familiar with and I’m essentially Thanos ;-)

OK, maybe she spoke to you rudely or dismissively, or didn’t slither up your arse to make your pizzas, but stewing on this so much you had to start a thread on here? That’s some deep anger going on!

She was closing. She decided she would hang around for an extra minute or two to do you a favour and you were rude. You are being unreasonable.
