To think that Kier Starmer shouldn't be welcoming extremists into Britain?

Reported in The Telegraph today that Sir Keir Starmer has welcomed an alleged Islamist extremist, who labelled British people “dogs and monkeys” and called for Zionists to be killed, into the UK.

The Prime Minister said he was “delighted” that Alaa Abd el-Fattah had arrived from Egypt on Friday evening after a travel ban imposed by Cairo was lifted following lobbying by ministers.

Mr Abd el-Fattah, an activist with dual British-Egyptian citizenship, previously said that it was heroic to kill Zionists “including civilians”. He urged Londoners to burn Downing Street, told his supporters to kill police and said he hated white people.

Ministers are facing calls to revoke his British citizenship, which he was granted in 2021 while imprisoned in Egypt, where campaigners described him as a “prisoner of conscience”.

Sir Keir’s tweet yesterday said how “delighted” he was that Alaa Abd El-Fattah is back in this country. Does that seem a reasonable stance to take for someone who has claimed at the same time to be committed to "eradicating antisemitism in the UK"?

I don't know why people are still looking at newspapers when they can look at the original source material

You can just look at the guy's Twitter account.

okay, so you approve of the decision to bring him back here. As he is a British citizen, let's call that a reasonable stance for a minute. Do you think it's reasonable to arrest someone for calling for the murder of police, white people, Zionists? Because I do.

And what a fucking expensive exercise to bring him back here and need to go through the whole court process over here.

OK - why do you approve of Starmer for welcoming this man into the UK that hates white people, Jews, homosexuals and many others?

The weirdest thing is that I find myself agreeing with Farage (& I don't support Reform!) saying, “Tory and Labour both open our doors to the wrong people. They are as bad as each other.”

Me too, but I recognise it for the scamster hook it is:
Say a sensible thing that most people agree with.
Say another sensible thing that most people agree with.
Go all crazy racist/misogynist and see who comes along.

It's how scamsters work.🤷‍♀️

Some people will contort themselves in circles and distort reality, rather than admit that Islamic extremists are a danger to British society. It doesn't suit their narrative to acknowledge the reality.

This. What happens when the extremists kill your friends and family.... light candles

Some people on this thread may actually agree with the comments made by Alaa Abd El-Fattah, who knows?

Would explain the desire to change the subject.

Your thread title is 'To think that Kier Starmer shouldn't be welcoming extremists into Britain?' surely this includes the extremist Israeli president who was invited over to be schmoozed by him? Why is it off topic to talk about the fact that Starmer makes a habit out of welcoming extremists? Sure didn't he have something to say about it when extremist racist Israelis were banned from a football match too, he seemed to think it was very important then those extremist were welcomed too despite their well documented history of racist violence.

Are you serious? Really? Have you read the tweets? They are available to see elsewhere than the Telegraph. BTW Max Hastings hasn't been its editor since 2002! HTH.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/gift/9622550ab4bac54e hopefully that works, it includes the quotes mentioned by the OP and some others, such as wanting to join Bin Laden and kill Americans

Wow

Antisemitism has risen dramatically in the UK how will inviting someone calling for Zionists to be killed, help?

This feels like chickens inviting a fox into the coop

Honestly ... tomorrow Starmer will be stressing his support for Jewish people again ... can't take the guy seriously after this.

You say "precious white children" with a sneer.

But yes, British children are precious to us. Of any colour. We don't want hate-filled extremists like him coming into Britain.

James Cleverly supported him as did Rishi Sunak. He came a British citizen in 2021 apparently. So not just supported by Labour.

HappyFace2025 · 27/12/2025 22:17

I haven't noticed 'Little Muslim children being killed by extremists' here in the UK but three little white girls in Southport were stabbed to death not so long ago as well as ten other people, including children.

I am glad that the racist comment by the poster you quoted has been deleted, but sad that people have such racist views against British children, and moreover, are comfortable voicing them. What a world we live in.

That poster should be banned, but I doubt they will be.
