To think that Kier Starmer shouldn't be welcoming extremists into Britain?

Reported in The Telegraph today that Sir Keir Starmer has welcomed an alleged Islamist extremist, who labelled British people “dogs and monkeys” and called for Zionists to be killed, into the UK.

The Prime Minister said he was “delighted” that Alaa Abd el-Fattah had arrived from Egypt on Friday evening after a travel ban imposed by Cairo was lifted following lobbying by ministers.

Mr Abd el-Fattah, an activist with dual British-Egyptian citizenship, previously said that it was heroic to kill Zionists “including civilians”. He urged Londoners to burn Downing Street, told his supporters to kill police and said he hated white people.

Ministers are facing calls to revoke his British citizenship, which he was granted in 2021 while imprisoned in Egypt, where campaigners described him as a “prisoner of conscience”.

Sir Keir’s tweet yesterday said how “delighted” he was that Alaa Abd El-Fattah is back in this country. Does that seem a reasonable stance to take for someone who has claimed at the same time to be committed to "eradicating antisemitism in the UK"?

James Cleverly supported him as did Rishi Sunak. He came a British citizen in 2021 apparently. So not just supported by Labour.

This has already been covered. It's Starmer who is the current PM.

But Labour have managed to get the Egyptians to release him and let him come back to the UK.

Kendodd · 27/12/2025 22:18

Well if those tweets are correctly attributed to him hopefully he'll be arrested and imprisoned (doubt it though).

I haven't noticed 'Little Muslim children being killed by extremists' here in the UK but three little white girls in Southport were stabbed to death not so long ago as well as ten other people, including children.

This.

Sadly in several countries Sudan for example some Muslim groups kill different Muslim groups, horrible and wrong. Doesn't happen here though

scorpiogirly · 27/12/2025 22:20

It's disgusting.

There are also Muslims killing and kidnapping Christians in Nigeria, which rarely gets any coverage. One of many examples.

Wonder if the deleted poster is as moved by Muslims murdering little Muslim children. How predictable that Gaza would be the go to derailment tool.

I am glad that the racist comment by the poster you quoted has been deleted, but sad that people have such racist views against British children, and moreover, are comfortable voicing them. What a world we live in.

That poster should be banned, but I doubt they will be.

It's disgusting that people feel it's ok to say that. Do they also cheer when white British children are killed. What is wrong with their mind?

It's this that makes you wonder who will be left that's electable by the next election. Robert Jenrick is doing a good job of calling it out though. For one thing pointing out on X the hypocrisy when The Justice Secretary lauds a man who said all police officers should be killed.

Imagine after Manchester and Bondi, still denying antisemitism presents as much of a problem as any other form of racism. It's really simple, 12% of antisemites agree with the tweets.

That's what I think despite it is depressing.

A dangerous one if he thinks it was a good idea to let the person back into the UK, even though he is a British citizen who should have been left to rot in an Egyptian jail.

The deleted poster is suffering from the misconception that those she so vehemently defends/supports, actually give a flying fuck she's posturing for them... 🫠

The reactions to those terrorist attacks have been thoroughly disappointing: from 'but Israel' to crazy conspiracy theories that were wildly disseminated online that it 'was Mossad'. So bloody predictable and racist.

Would any other ethnic group have such racism after an attack on them?

Johnson and Truss also supported him and it’s been observed on Twitter that:

”Jenrick was Minister of State for Immigration from October 2022 – to December 2023 when his government’s foreign secretary was saying he looked forward to “quick progress towards the release of Alaa Abd El-Fattah” Did he speak out No. He did not!”

The weirdest thing is that I find myself agreeing with Farage (& I don't support Reform!) saying, “Tory and Labour both open our doors to the wrong people. They are as bad as each other.”

Hmmm

I hope not and I have never seen any other ethnic group have to suffer racism after an attack. Normally they get an outpouring of support, rightly.

This. What happens when the extremists kill your friends and family.... light candles

Extremists injured and killed my family, my friends. No Debate and purity spirals acted as cause and catalyst.

I remembered , lit candles for all of them this Christmas.✨️
