does anyone know anyone who works there please? Someone stole an item out my hands today in a different store and it’s the only store with stock of the item which I’ve hunted everywhere for but I can’t get through to store only a central call centre; anyone know how I can before I drive all that way for potentially wasted journey please?

OP, why won’t you just buy it and then go and collect it?

You can't buy the in store items online, you have to go to the shop, M&S online comes from the warehouse. It's not like JL where you can have them sent from a store online if the warehouse has no stock

It won’t let me do that as it’s out of stock online, just want to speak to someone in store so it can be saved for hour or two before I can get there

Look, I get it's annoying but it's just a bag.

It's totally disproportionate to stress yourself out and start driving for hours round the country to try and find one.

There are many, many other bags available and there will be other nice bags in future.

I would take a breath and spend the money on something else I wanted.

Probably the first time Fargate and ‘utopia’ have every been anywhere near each other in concept 😂

To be honest with you, the online stock checkers aren’t accurate especially if there’s little left and things are randomly increasing/decreasing. For example the stock checker doesn’t take into account products that are written off as faulty, items which have been stolen, plus the item could have been hidden/dumped elsewhere in store. Eg bags being taken into fitting rooms and being used by another customer. I also think it takes a while for the online stock to be updated, it’s not instant. I can’t remember how long it takes from my old retail days, but it was like 24-48 hours at least and potentially longer if a bank holiday/weeks are involved to sync the systems

They’re not going to do that, especially not for sale items during their busiest time of year.
