Why do men hate women so much?

I’m on the larger side, a size 18. Walking back from work with my headphones in and on my phone and a guy leans out of his car window (passenger side) in slow moving traffic, barks at me like a dog and calls me a fat bitch. Him and his mates in the car then crack up at it and find themselves absolutely hilarious as they’re crawling along next to me.

I know it’s silly to be so upset by it because it’s such a silly thing for them to do, but they took me by surprise and gave me a fright and I just don’t get it. Why are men like this?

I wonder why? This site is full of pages and pages of women who have been treated awfully. From this, to lazy husbands who refuse to help with children, to women in financially, emotionally and physically abusive relationships. It’s a site of women where they can be open and honest about their experiences

Op doesn't need correcting. No she didn't mean some men, it's not about the quantity of men, it's about it being men.
Whether it's some men or not, it's still men, that's the point.

As to why men behave like this, I have often wondered. Possibly:

-They hate women who have the audacity to be overweight or old because we aren’t sexually appealing to them and that is just rude of us. We should consider what the penis wants every time we leave the house.

-They hate women who are happy and functioning well without a male by their side- it enrages them because they are like little children and they want to feel special and important and needed. (Not saying that you are single OP but if you didn’t have a man by your side at that precise moment then you were fair game in their eyes).

-They’re stronger than us so because they can bully us, they do.

-They’re jealous that we get to grow and birth human beings because let’s face it, it’s the ultimate superpower and something they will never be able to do.

-They thought life was better in their grandad’s day when women couldn’t have bank accounts or object to their husband raping them. That life sounds better because they want to be able to have everything they want. They’re upset that the world has changed.

-They have a sense of humour which is only tickled by making someone else feel shit.

It might be some or all of these factors, or something else entirely. I’ll never understand it.

I fear women some are utter cxnts is not just men nowdays its both.
Mumsnet is cest pit of women bulling other women.
Even in public ive had the run ins with women.

I wouldn't even call those entities men. More like amoeba floating in a stinking cesspool. That's the equivalent of their intelligence, attractiveness or relevance level in society.

I’ve never had a woman shout abuse at me from her car. I’ve never experienced anything like this from a woman.

@growingsideway ive been called fat by a random driver, plus people made gorilla noises when I was with my partner (im not white). I think its just scummy people really as no normal sort would do this. But for every weird person like that, there are loads who wouldn't, and who would like you for who you are. I remember coming home and crying that day thinking i should never leave the house. But now i see these are losers in life. I say this as someone who is now extremely successful and has had long term relationships with two super fit, gorgeous men with 6 packs who adored me at a size 16/18.

And the women they find sexually appealing won't give them the time of day.

Because they are immature brainless arseholes, each with the intellect of a dead rat.

A sub species, not worth bothering about.

@Misscoffee mumsnet is a weird place of very horrible vipers though, ive never had that kind of abuse outside here yet had horrible posts aimed at me on this site

Of course. But this thread isn't about them, is it? And I see no reason to wheel them out to divert attention away from a discussion about the bad ones. Nor would they expect me to. Nor would they 'correct' the language of a woman who had just been abused in the street by men because their feelings were hurt by her not making a point of saying NAMALT. Because the decent men in my life get it.

Most women don't come forward if they are being abused by men.

I was heckled by a car full of men while I was on my bike once, they followed behind me with high beams on and beeped the horn, it was terrifying and I had no way of getting out of the way. Men don’t realise how scary they are in these situations. They just see it as a laugh or a joke, it’s not.

I’m assuming this thread is full of “women are just as bad” “Women are worse” “Women are always abusing men in public” “Men are afraid to walk home alone because women are likely to attack them” “Men are raped as often as women are” and so on?
