Why do men hate women so much?

I’m on the larger side, a size 18. Walking back from work with my headphones in and on my phone and a guy leans out of his car window (passenger side) in slow moving traffic, barks at me like a dog and calls me a fat bitch. Him and his mates in the car then crack up at it and find themselves absolutely hilarious as they’re crawling along next to me.

I know it’s silly to be so upset by it because it’s such a silly thing for them to do, but they took me by surprise and gave me a fright and I just don’t get it. Why are men like this?

Government stats record that on average 79800 women across England and Wales are raped or sexually assaulted every year.

It also estimates 5 in 6 women don’t report for obvious reasons.

So if we times the 79800 by 6 we can deduce that 478800 women are sexually assaulted or raped each year in England and Wales.

478800 women in 1 year!

478800 is only rapes and sexual assault vistims.

It doesn’t include the men verbally abusing out of a car window or any other intimidating behaviour towards women.

It doesn’t include murders or any other kind of non sexually assault.
It doesn’t include upskirting or online abuse.

Please share your stats that show it’s only ‘a minority of men’ that are a problem for women.

So you’re saying that (probably, based on extrapolation) 1.45% of men are rapists then? Of course any number greater than 0% is unacceptable, we all know that. We view the world differently and statistically you haven’t proven your point, in fact you’ve proven
mine. This isn’t about points scoring and I’m disappointed you seem to think it is. Honestly, you need to stop now and I won’t be responding any further.

What enrages me, when men- or people, for that matter- do this shit, it's always in a group, and usually in a moving vehicle. Or in front of an audience. They wouldn't dare to do it on their own. Cowardly bastards.

And yes, OP, it wouldn't surprise me if they were on something. Cocaine use is an epidemic amongst the sort of cretins who abused you, especially in certain jobs/industries.

Well he found at least 50, probably many more who couldn't be identified, just in the local area who raped his wife. Sure, they were on a scummy online forum, but they are also "regular" men to their friends and family and co workers.

And there is now a similar case in Germany.

And there are the Telegram messaging groups, some of them containing up to 70,000 men, filming sexual assaults and discussing how to drug and rape their partners.

At what point are people going to stop NAMALT-ing this shit.

What is it with the barking like a dog?

At some point between lockdowns I was out walking through town a two women in a car did the exact same to me. One of them leant the window and barked at me with her tongue hanging out. These women were no oil paintings either.

It’s always stuck with me because I can’t understand how people can behave like that and yet somehow the joke is on me? Surely the joke should be on the people pretending to be dogs.

Of course. They were mostly ‘family men’ and in lots of instances it seems the women stood behind their men…said how out of character it was and ‘he must have been coerced’ . The point is these were just ordinary men living in the community, upholding decent jobs and fathering children, being grandfathers etc. All of them living quietly in sleep little towns and villages in a 50k radius. All up for doing something horrendously unspeakable because they thought they could get away with it.

And to all the posters who think this kind of behaviour is about how attractive you are and doesn’t happen to older women, it’s bollocks. This behaviour is about power not how you look or what you are wearing.

Why are you trying to mininise men’s behaviour?

It’s weird though. Not many women kill men like men kill women every single week. DV is mostly a male dominated terrain.

So whilst there are vile women, it’s really not the same.

Its extremely rare for women to do this sort of thing. When they do, if the victim is male, it tends to be aping male patterned behaviour, and rooted in a skewed idea of 'equality'. A kind of if you can't beat em join em/give as good as we get mentality, that become a twisted sort of 'feminism' at the time of the Ladette culture. Where the victim is a woman, its internalised misogyny. Not all women are nice. Some women hate other women.
However the point is, the reasons for this rare exception to female behaviour patterns will be different from the reasons why this is a pattern of male behaviour. So, interesting, but a different topic from the one on the thread.
The barking is a way of saying the victim is unattractive, 'a dog'. Doesn't mean they are, it's just an insult.
