How old are year 1 mums

If u are a mum to a child in year 1 how old are u? Just cos I feel so old. I’m almost 42

When my eldest was in Y1 I was 42 and when my youngest was in Y1 I was 47. I was a few years older than most of the other Mums but not really noticeably. I live in a middle class area in the NE. At a school in the less affluent areas of town I would stand out more.

I was 35 when my first child was in year 1 and I will be 42 when my second child is in year 1.

I'll be 44/45 by the time my youngest is in year one!

I’m 34 but with my youngest I will be 38

My DD is in year 1, I'm 35.

It was KS1 nativity this morning and at a guess I'd say parents ages ranged from 25-45, a real mix here but the average was probably 35-40.

I’m in Scotland so it would’ve been P1 here (I think. When they’re about 5yo?) but I was 21 when my eldest was that age and I’ll be 37 when my youngest is in P1.
There’s the whole spread from early twenties to mid fifties at our primary school gates at pick up time plus obviously grandparents too.

I was 36 and then 40. There is a huge variety of ages in our school, my DS made friends with the boys of some of the youngest mums who were in their early 20s at that point and who are still having babies now (I’m now too old). There were also plenty around my age who had them later. I only noticed bc I was arranging play dates etc with these ladies who did seem much younger than me! We all got on fine though.

How old are the dads?

I was 25 when my eldest was year one and 37 when my youngest was

39 next month. I would say the average age in DDs class is 35

Youngest is y1 I'm 37 and I don't feel old at all, fairly average

When my eldest was in y1 I was 25 - I didn't feel young but wow I was!!!

I work in childcare and there are far more older parents than younger nowadays imo

Seeing was nowhere near youngest parent at 25 with a year one child 2 mums in her classes were underr21

I was 38 when the first was in yr 1 and will be 42 with the second and I’m totally average where I live. There are a few a fair bit older but I can’t think of anyone I know is younger than 35.

I was 40/41. I think that’s perfectly normal. It really doesn’t matter though does it?

I was 50 when my son was in Yr1. I was the same age as a couple of grannies!

when my youngest was in year 1 I was 41. My two best friends have children in Year 1 and they're both 46.

47 on Friday!!

In DDs class it ranged from 26 - 50. I was 35 which was about average.
