with the sizing change. I buy 95% of my clothes from vinted. Just tried to look for a new coat and its too stressful. I don't think i can use it like this :(

life must be bloody hard op!

stick with it, you’ll be used to it!

TeaRoseTallulah · 11/11/2025 13:39

I can't either,it's nonsense now 🙄

MyIvyGrows · 11/11/2025 13:40

What’s changed?

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 11/11/2025 13:40

I think the new system is far more representative of the sizes. I always put a picture of the label and often write ‘Size L but more like a 16/18’ etc as previously a L was a 12.

Plump82 · 11/11/2025 13:41

Stressful? Really?

Beedeeoh · 11/11/2025 13:42

Yes it's shit and makes no sense at all. I want a size 14 not a 12-14!

nomas · 11/11/2025 13:43

Wait, it's changing? I loved the weird sizing system, I got lots of bargains as people dismissed things as either too big or too small.

Can you explain to me why then when it was straightforward looking for 22 and 24s they say UK size 40 now, I don't get it!

EgregiouslyOverdressed · 11/11/2025 13:45

It's fine. The problem is that the new system has retrospectively been applied to all of the existing listings. Anything listed in the last few days will be correct. I went through and adjusted the sizing on my live listings last night, and others will realise that they need to do the same if they actually want to sell.

The person whose listing it is probably hasn’t gone in to update it. It’s literally just changed. Give it a few days.

InvestingNew · 11/11/2025 13:47

I’ve just had a look - the sizing categories have changed.
but when i search for ‘dresses’ and pick a few brands, marks and Spencer etc, then i get no results!
clearly a glitch. Hoping it will work again soon.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 11/11/2025 13:48

It’s awful. So much harder to find anything.

Beedeeoh · 11/11/2025 13:48

Those who think it's okay, do you not use specific UK sizes? I know I need a 14 for almost everything, I'm in the middle of the size so a 12 will be too small and a 16 too big. It seems impossible to search for a 14? Am I missing something?

No it's not stressful I was just making it up

Agree, I much prefer it - it’s far more representative of actual sizing now!

PractisingMyTelekenipsis · 11/11/2025 13:54

I gave up shopping on vinted because their sizing was off kilter. Maybe it's better now.

Ah ok, interesting to see some prefer it. Hopefully I will get used to it then cause at the moment i've given up!

Because the sellers haven’t updated their sizing as requested by Vinted. Here’s the conversation chart. Anything uploaded in the past few days and moving forward will be correct, anything prior sellers were asked to edit.

I can't use vinted anymore
KarriTreeSullivan · 11/11/2025 13:56

Oh my God it's so annoying! I feel your pain! I know what size I am in certain brands and now I have to select multiple sizes and sift through all the size 8's I know are too small and 14's I know are too big!

I'm sure we'll get used to it, and first world problems and all, but what on earth was the point of the change?!

SunnyDolly · 11/11/2025 13:56

give it a few days, Vinted have just retrospectively added the new sizing to current listings so a lot of things are out of whack. Once sellers have updated it I genuinely think the new sizings will be better.

If you are genuinely finding this stressful op, I suggest you perhaps pause and consider whether money you want to spend on vinted may be better channelled elsewhere

Those who prefer it, are you between sizes? To me the most annoying thing about the new system is that you can't just filter by a specific size, you have to filter by items that go across two sizes, so half of what you see will probably be irrelevant and there's no way of telling until you click and look through the individual listings... unless I'm missing something?
