Bully. Petty little bully. You really have nothing better to do? You have no interest in vinted or this thread so what is the fucking point?

I have literally said that if this genuinely stressed you out, then that is actually something you should be concerned about

OP, you’ll get used to the change

HappyAsASandboy · 11/11/2025 14:19

I didn’t have any problems finding size 12 clothes before - I just searched for “jacket” and then filtered on whatever filter included size 12 (was it just size 12 or 12/14? I can’t remember). Then it’s give me size 12 clothes.

Today I filtered a “dresses” search on “Size 12/14” and got loads of size 10 dresses. I had to sort through looking for picture of the labels or mentions of the size in the description. Too much effort involved!

longtompot · 11/11/2025 14:20

I thought something was odd with it the other night but thought nothing of it.
I have just looked for some jeans. I'm size 18 generally in M&S jeans but some size 20s in other brands fit better. I've looked at 22 listings in two size brackets 16/18 & 20/22 and have had to discard all of them as they are either a 16 or 22. I even had some that were 12s! Just very frustrating when it worked perfectly fine before.

ThatChristmasMug · 11/11/2025 14:20

It's annoying, but you'll get used to it!

Sellers will hopefully also show photos of the LABELS so you can decide by yourself

TwoLeggedGrooveMachine · 11/11/2025 14:20

YANBU. Just taken a look. How ridiculous, I’m a 14 or 16 so don’t fit into the new sizing categories. I was happy with the old system. I would usually do a size 14 and 16 search and choose size based on the brand ad some are more generous than others.

I don't think I am going to get used to having size 12s shown when I'm looking for 14s. I just won't bother wasting my time trawling through dozens of items that should have been filtered out of my search.

Honestly it doesn't take a genius software developer to realise that you have removed functionality by forcing items into dual size band categories where previously you could identify them by single size.

Fuck. Off. I see what kind of person you are. You should be very concerned with why you chose to come onto a thread you have no interest in to belittle and harrass me.

Looks a lot more sensibly to me. important that people still add the actual label/ tag size.
I didn’t realise I’d need to change my previous uploads so thanks for flagging op

I am not loving it, but I wasn't loving the old system either. Their conversion between number size and L-XL was not accurate either.

You should be able to put the size from your label, not have it randomly converted.

It's bad enough to know that mumsy sizes (M&S and the rest) and teen sizes are completely different, and that mumsy brands are insanely generous, but it's always a pain to convert. I always had to trawl through clothes because the sizes were wrong anyway.

So you'll get used to the current system too, if they stick with it because it's easier between countries, who knows. I don't work for Vinted.

that sounds a bit extreme for a discussion about.. Vinted 😂

How do you react when you have actual problems?

Apparently some people got a notification about it? I saw messages copied around. I didn't receive anything from Vinted, just saw comments on facebook groups

Holluschickie · 11/11/2025 14:33

Such a pain. I am a newbie to buying on Vinted and already find it so confusing.

teatimefortiger · 11/11/2025 14:33

Annoyingly, I ordered a top the night before last, looked at the order again yesterday and they had changed the sizing on the item I had already ordered and it showed as being a 22-24. I cancelled the order, then got the email saying that the sizing policy had changed. When back into my cancelled
order, realised it actually was a 14 rather and a 22-24, and it had been resold 😅

SilenceInside · 11/11/2025 14:37

@ThatChristmasMug but I can't put the size from the label when I'm listing an item. If it's a 14, it has to be in the 12-14 category. Not the 14 category because that doesn't exist anymore. So, it's less precise and a less accurate search. Makes it harder for a buyer to find the item, because now it's being including in a category with twice as many items.

The old system was a bit odd that a size 14 was called XL, but really that was irrelevant because womens clothes are labelled with the numeric size typically in the UK. So that's what I was looking for, whether Vinted considered that an M, L or XL didn't matter or affect functionality.

Oh and we have another one

want to discuss the Vinted issue or here to bully for sport?

OP posts:
ThatChristmasMug · 11/11/2025 14:40

I am listing UK clothes labelled M, L or XL too.
Problem is, some of the XL is actually a 12-14 😂Depends on the brand. It does XL on the label, but no one above a 14 would be able to put that on.

The sizes were never accurate to start with

I am not loving the new system, but I think the original one was already wrong half the time anyway, so it's not making it worst than it already was.

To avoid any complaint from buyer, you already had to clearly state what the size written was.

@ThatChristmasMug nice victim blaming btw well done you. Harrass harrass harrass then when I bite back cause I’m sick to death of people being cubts for no reason you laugh and wonder how I react to real problems? Are you sure?

OP posts:
AngryBird6122 · 11/11/2025 14:44

@ThatChristmasMug oh sorry you asked me a question how rude. When I have actual problems. Deal with them? I don’t really know what you want me to say.

OP posts:
RedRiverShore5 · 11/11/2025 14:44

Well, it would be more useful if it just stuck to the sizes that the brands used instead of making up their own.

AngryBird6122 · 11/11/2025 14:49

@ThatChristmasMug don’t just passive aggressively react with flowers to all my posts. You don’t want to talk about Vinted you want to talk to me in depth about how I handle things in life so come on give me some tips please. I know you know zero about my life so it may be hard for you but you sound like an expert.

Yes it's shit and makes no sense at all. I want a size 14 not a 12-14!

Pretty much this. A 12 and a 14 aren't interchangeable, especially considering that there are huge differences in sizes between brands too.

Lifejigsaw · 11/11/2025 14:55

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 11/11/2025 13:55

Because the sellers haven’t updated their sizing as requested by Vinted. Here’s the conversation chart. Anything uploaded in the past few days and moving forward will be correct, anything prior sellers were asked to edit.

Can I just point out that sellers were not asked to update anything.

I have hundreds of things for sale and the first I new about this was when it hit the news today! Now I’m expected to manually update all of them - its going to take a while!

TenWeeCaramelJoeys · 11/11/2025 14:58

It is indeed shit. I want to search for just the one size. Not a 12-14 or 14-16 or whatever. So now every search for a particular size will spew out double the number of items, half of which are the wrong size. Weird.
