I can't use vinted anymore

with the sizing change. I buy 95% of my clothes from vinted. Just tried to look for a new coat and its too stressful. I don't think i can use it like this :(

Well yes, it is different... the problem is that a lot of people (I'd venture to say most people, in the UK) search for clothes by numerical sizing, rather than by Small/Medium/Large. I couldn't really give a shit whether they classify a size 10 as S, M or L... the issue is that whilst before I could search specifically for size 10 clothes, now I have to search for 8-10. This means that the number of results I get back is doubled and half of them aren't in the size I was looking for. Plus it's impossible to even tell which is which until you click on the individual listing to find out. I mean, it isn't the end of the world. Worse things happen in life. But it is quite annoying.

Yes. I am a 12-14 and am being shown 20-22s on my search. And so many sellers don't post pix of labels.

Vinted did not send out a message to every seller. I certainly didn’t get a message.

Even when sellers have changed all their existing listings, that doesn’t resolve the issue with the categories being dual sizes instead of single sizes. There’s no way of searching for the specific size that you want, which is a backwards step.

@SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePleaseso it’s very clear that plenty of sellers were not messaged in advance, or even afterwards, by Vinted.

My size 12 items were listed as an M
ans have now changed to a L size 14-16.
this is going to be a huge problem to buyers and sellers and cause issues when buyers receive the “wrong”
size and mark it as having an issue as not as listed.
I’ve contacted Vinted.
Here’s their unhelpful reply telling me
how to edit a listing.

Exactly the same issue for me. I want a 14! Not a 12-14 or a 14-16.

I did get a message in my Vinted messages. I’ve just had to change the sizing on loads of my listings.

I’m not saying otherwise, I’m simply saying I did.

I’ve just given after an hour spent trying to find a size 18 Seasalt tunic. I found three that were the right colour but the sizing was a ‘12, 16/18, L’
Wtf does that mean?
I have contacted the sellers, one says hers is a 12, one said it’s a Large, awaiting the third.

I really don't understand how they thought this was more accurate.
I'm looking for a size 10, the seller is selling a size 10 and yet we both have to pretend a size 10 is actually a size12-14?

They thought the label on the actual clothing wasn't accurate enough!!?

@Zippedydodah I would ask the sellers for a clear photo of the size on the label. That’s the only way to know for sure what size the item is.

I’m not sure it’s any worse now than before, when Vinted had size 8 as an “S” when most brands put an “S” as a “10”. So I always had to look for S (Vinted 8) and M (Vinted 10) anyway and discount the “Ms” that where actually 12s and the “Ss” that were 8s.

Whereas now I at least only look for S (8/10) - and still discount the 8s, but at least don’t get any 12s anymore to also trawl through.

So, actually, while not perfect it’s actually working better for me now (though not on items listed before of course that haven’t been updated)

It is utterly broken.

I have a size 12 dress up there (and it's a small 12 too) but it is now listed as size 16-18! I have the size specified in the description and a photo of the size label but no one ever looks properly.

And how on earth one is supposed to find the size you actually want beats me. I hope this crazy decision is reversed sooner rather than later

Has it reverted to the single size categories for you?

It's as chaotic as ever.
