with the sizing change. I buy 95% of my clothes from vinted. Just tried to look for a new coat and its too stressful. I don't think i can use it like this :(

What you have to do is edit your listings.
Go to whatever size Vinted have put on your posts, and change it to the right one.

That's what I've done. I have some jumpers on there which I'd put on as size 10. Vinted had put them on as size 16-18 (wtf) so I changed it.

It's maddening.

I just don’t see how someone who is an 18/20 like me will be searching for size 32

im now a 12 so do I put in 12 if looking for a top etc or a 16/18 which will be huge

No, you search for size 12.
Then you check that the seller has photographed the label of the garment. You ignore whatever size Vinted has put.

Imgoingoutforawhile · 12/11/2025 20:45

It’s very annoying. I am looking for a specific style of black dress in a size 10, so I’ve selected 8-10 however I’ve clicked on about 12 appropriate looking dresses and they’ve all been size 8. Now I can’t be arsed to look through any more

SilenceInside · 12/11/2025 20:57

I want to find a specific dress in size 14. At the moment, I am choosing the 12-14 category which is where any new listings or updated old listings will show up, if the seller has chosen 12-14 as the size category. I am also selecting the 20-22 category, which is where old listings for size 14s will show up if the seller hasn't updated them. Then, I'm having to look at each listing and hope that the seller has included the actual size in the listing title and/or description, and included an image of the size. That's the only way of finding as many size 14s as possible.

But, a lot of the listings that come up are size 10s, due to the size category not being updated by sellers, or 12s because I'm having to choose 12-14, rather than just the 14s. And also some things that are actually 20-22. So, a big range of sizes showing up that I have no way of filtering any further.

A total mess, and so tedious to trawl through.

Plump82 · 12/11/2025 21:13

I've been on tonight and I'm not even getting the option to search by size.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 12/11/2025 21:14

I've sold nothing at all since this shitshow started.
I'm not even getting anything favourited at the moment. It's like the site has ground to a halt.

Theonlyfatmiddleagedwomannotonmonjaro · 12/11/2025 21:33

Being thst Vinted has been around X years and the new sizing 3 days 80% plus items are in the incorrect size category.
Mix that with the sellers thst have started to change over to the new system and sellers listing since Monday.....its an absolute mess.
There is no way to search for a size 14. I have everything from a 12 to a 24.

Its an absolute shambles.

Trotula · 12/11/2025 21:35

Totally agree @Imgoingoutforawhile
I only want a size 12 and having to trawl through every 12-14 listing is a real pain. I always state the size in the title of my listings but unfortunately not everyone does so it’s a case of checking through the details and/or the photo. Even with the size in the title it often doesn’t show in a search.
Frustrating!

Wtf? Ive just looked and my size 28 dress listing has changed to 8xl uk 48! What? A size 28 is now xxl. Sorry but I would never ever buy a 3xl dress as I know it wouldn't fit! What a joke!

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 12/11/2025 23:36

I’ve been looking for a coat but have given up as it’s impossible.

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS ON MN? (CAPS TO GET ATTENTION SORRY) GO ONTO RANDOM THREADS AND THEN BASICALLY BULLY SOMEONE - NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TOPIC AT ALL, JUST TO HARASS OR TAKE THE PISS? NOT JUST ONCE BUT OVER AND OVER. BOREDOM? USED TO BE A BULLY AT SCHOOL AND NOW NEED A FIX? OR JUST PLAIN NASTY?

They might not have picked up on the sarcasm tbf.

SecretNameAsImShy · 13/11/2025 13:05

Anyone got any suggestions for a suitable alternative site. I've looked on Depop but that's not much better.

and ditto what @SilenceInside said

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/11/2025 14:36

I wonder why vinted did this

I’ve been buying all my clothes off temu new - they fit well and wash and wear well

VanCleefArpels · 14/11/2025 16:39

I got a message on Vinted today saying they are showing international items from now on. THAT is why they have done this. I have zero interest in waiting for things to be shipped from wherever. It will completely ruin the experience, where you feel like you are “swapping” clothes with someone rude who’s had a bit of a clear out (and yes I do know there are some professional resellers). I’m gutted at this, I’ve used Vinted almost exclusively for a few years now as seller and purchaser, in order to prevent things going to landfill.

Beedeeoh · 14/11/2025 17:14

@VanCleefArpels sounds like a complete shift in business model. To me Vinted is mostly cheap and cheerful, I've never paid more than £50 and usually less than £10. I have no interest in purchasing from overseas for that type of low value item. It seems like a really bad decision on their part but I suppose time will tell.

ContentedAlpaca · 14/11/2025 18:22

I'm not interested in overseas items. I know the sizing of our UK brands and have no wish to dabble in unfamiliar brands

Couldn’t agree more - why would I buy something from the US? Who sets the exchange rate? How would already difficult returns process work? This is so far removed from the original ethos of Vinted.

TheWytch · 15/11/2025 18:23

I've just added a paragraph to my profile that I will not ship outside the UK.

I've edited the few listings I still have up but given up trying to buy at the moment. I will not be buying from the US. That will be nothing but trouble.

VanCleefArpels · 15/11/2025 20:44

Now looking for a jumper, try to filter for size and get this. WTAF is going on??

I can't use vinted anymore
CryMyEyesViolet · 15/11/2025 20:56

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 11/11/2025 13:55

Because the sellers haven’t updated their sizing as requested by Vinted. Here’s the conversation chart. Anything uploaded in the past few days and moving forward will be correct, anything prior sellers were asked to edit.

But that shows why the going forward position is untenable. I’m a size 6-8. I never need a 4 and never need a 10 - but there’s no way to filter those out now. I never had any issues finding the right size before, but now even when the listings update I won’t be able to search efficiently.

Exactly - for a 10-12 like me I will be
presented with sizes 8, 10, 12 & 14. But tonight I cannot filter for any size apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a tiny bit grateful as I was going to try to buy no clothes in 2026, but I’m often tempted that Vinted doesn’t count - but I think this will give me the push to succeed including second hand clothes!

FTHC · 15/11/2025 21:25

Fortunately only had 3 clothing items listed so I could edit the sizes quickly.

I've always included a photo of the sizing label on listings and stated in the title / listing too e.g. Next Jeans size 14.

I recently bought a dress that was listed as XL /14 (old sizing option) and it's a size 22 as I didn't think to ask for the label size 🤦🏻‍♀️ shame as it's a lovely dress too 😮‍💨

CatsMagic · 15/11/2025 23:04

It looks very much like Vinted is also going to be selling shite made in factories by slave labour ….. which totally seems to defeat the purpose of the site really.
