To ask how much you think I weigh?

I’m genuinely just curious. My hairdresser said she thought I’m a good 2-3 stone lighter than I actually am, so it got me thinking!

I’m 15 stone 8!!!

really shocked by all the low guesses, but I’m guessing I carry it quite well!

You definitely don't look that weight. Some people carry it better. You carry it very well considering your height. I was heavier than you a few months ago, 3 inches taller, and looked massive compared to you! I would have guessed around 14 stone at the most.

Needaglowup · 12/10/2025 15:59

14/15 stone

I may have to get some new scales if everyone thinks that's wrong!

I'm just really interested because I look at my body and see it the same as it was a year ago. It's sometimes a wakeup call to have others input!

I think maybe you’re just reading the comments that say you look lighter. Which is interesting really. You must see a difference from the 10 stone ago though?

Is this true? My nan had osteoporosis and it's always been a concern of mine!

Sadly not. My mum is obese and has awful osteoporosis. Her lifelong poor mobility has probably not helped, but her mum also had it and was slim. I am slim, but active, in the hope that I can stave it off, as I assume in our family it is at least partly genetic.

I truly don't. I think it's some form of body dysmorphia

I lost 6 stone after my DH died. Not intentional and not recommended - stress vomiting, loss of appetite etc. I’ve never regained my appetite and live on salads. . No one knew what I was and I’m not 9 stone. I never ask people, but they seem to think I’m only about 7 stone now. I’m not. Other people guessing never ends well. 🤷‍♀️🙄

BIossomtoes · 12/10/2025 13:05

As someone who’s slightly shorter than you and weighs 10st with visible ribs, I think the NHS scale is ridiculous. You and I would look bloody awful at 7.5st and really anything below 9st.

Are you very muscular? I am about 5'2" and currently just over 9 stone. No way can you see my ribs and by 10 stone, which I have never been, I would definitely be fat rather than my current slightly over comfortable. I am underweight at 7 stone and look my best around 8 stone. I am very cardio fit but not very strong.

FemWoman · 12/10/2025 16:08

I say 13.5 stone or around 85 kg.

Inertia · 12/10/2025 16:16

Well done on your weight loss.

I’d have put you at about 80 kg, as you look slimmer than me.

I think she said that to be nicer to you

SoftPillow · 12/10/2025 16:22

So hard to say but based on those photos I would at about 80-85kg and perhaps a size 18.

You don't have to be muscular to have visible ribs and collar bone at a relatively high BMI, just big-framed. I've got them at BMI 25. My wrists, which have no fat on them, are nearly 6 inches around.

lap90 · 12/10/2025 16:26

I would have guessed 16 stone so not badly off.

Chenecinquantecinq · 12/10/2025 16:34

85kg

ruethewhirl · 12/10/2025 16:37

Wow, well done on the weight loss! I think you are carrying it well, I would have guessed your weight as lower.

Presumably just another mumsnetter - a normal person who defies the BMi scale in exactly the same way as a rugby player or a supermodel.

it’s very uncommon for an adult woman to have visable ribs at the age of most mumsnetters.

Cyclingmummy1 · 12/10/2025 16:44

15st

Noisafullsentance · 12/10/2025 16:44

15 stone around there.

SP2024 · 12/10/2025 16:46

I’d say probably about 16 stone depending on your height. I’m around 14.5 stone and probably a small smaller.

deeahgwitch · 12/10/2025 17:07

11.75 stone

ruethewhirl · 12/10/2025 17:10

op, I think what the thread is showing is people have lost sight of what a healthy bmi looks like.

And bingo. 🙄

thisishowloween · 12/10/2025 17:10

Why is everyone still guessing when OP revealed her weight hours ago?!

Barnbrack · 12/10/2025 17:17

16 stone ish

MyLoyalEagle · 12/10/2025 17:19

I would say 60 kilos.

Anon4778 · 12/10/2025 17:26

13-14st - I’m a similar shape! Down to 12st on GLP1s.
