I would rather practice my piano
I don't want to work any more
I want to sit under a blanket and watch Netflix
I am so over this working for a living lark

I don't want to go to work tomorrow because.....
I have been ill all weekend so haven't enjoyed my time off, I feel like I have been robbed of my days off !!!

Because I need time off life to concentrate on work but it doesn't work like that

I'm very hungover today so would like a do over Sunday to be productive

Because tomorrow is the last day with our ddog. She is getting pts on Tuesday... Kind customer has given my the afternoon off paid though.

-I would rather bake some bread, and maybe some muffins
-It's mushroom season and I would rather go out mushroom spotting
-I have a couple of poetry book compilations by Duffy and Plath I'd like to get my teeth into
-I have a backlog of crosswords from my subscription
-I also don't want to work anymore

I hate it.

It makes me want to cry.

Someone else has resigned and I will have to pick their work up.

Because I'm a teacher and tomorrow I'm taking dozens of excitable 9 year olds on a residential trip.

Because I'm tired, I have my end of year review this week and I've not prepared for it.

But I just can't be bothered with work, I mean it's not like I'd do anything else if I wasn't working but I'm feeling really unfulfilled with work at the moment and I've lost my mojo. Not sure that would go down well in my end of year review though.

Because I have to read 200 pages of a book by Thursday and I need the time.

Because I work outdoors and the forecast is absolutely foul 😩

I want to stay at home with my dog.
The government keep piling more and more work on us while refuse to engage in annual pay rise discussions and sending out emails thanking us for our hard work at the difficult time. Don’t thank us, pay us!
I have autism, depression, SAD on top of that and anorexia and it’s all a bit much at the moment.
I have 2 books I want to read.
It’s cold, windy and rainy.
I get angsty sat at a desk most of the day doing paperwork instead of working with the people we’re meant to work with.
I want to exercise and walk my dog instead.

I’ve just run a half marathon and are now in the pub getting pissed. Will have a hangover tomorrow. Sorry boss.

Because it’s a long commute with a toddler and often stressful.
Because I have too much to do once I get to work and that’s stressful.
Because I’d rather have a day to myself to spend with DD, or read, or do Sudukos, or walk the dog, or watch junk TV and eat cake.
Can’t wait for retirement!

I hear u OP. I feel your pain. Make sure you delegate to the other members of staff. In my experience, even though it's hard work, pupils usually enjoy themselves and behave. Get something nice for tea on the way home .
