I'm going through the menopause, so have a low libido at the moment, which might explain my disgust. I don't know. I didn't use to be a prude, but I'm feeling more and more annoyed these days by men and their general behaviour.

I have a few male friends who, to varying degrees, always manage to slip in an innuendo or even an outright sexual remark. And out of politeness, or not wanting to cause a scene, I smile or roll my eyes in jest. I can only think of one occasion when I told a bloke to stop, and he REALLY took the hump. This was a married man who pursued me, but then said he was just joking and that I took myself too seriously. In fact, he got very angry.

I have lots of personal issues at the moment. Mad stuff. One of these issues lead to me googling my ex.

Well, the filth I found was disturbing. Men, thousands of them, masturbating online. I can only think they're doing it in front of each other. Becsuse there can't be many women wanting to sit and watch them. Surely? My ex was one of them.

I'm not talking about Only Fans where people pay. I'm talking about sex webcam stuff where men seem to just be filming themselves wanking. And watching each other. I don't even think it's gay. These are heterosexual men doing it for free. All ages.

Maybe I'm naïve.

But it's been a real eye opener for me.

I always knew men watched porn. But sitting there filming themselves and watching each other. It's madness.

I really do think that we, as women, spend our time worrying, working, caring, thinking, planning... and men just do the stuff thry have to do and then go back to messing with themselves or pestering women. Including their wives. And they keep having to up the limit because they can't get excited uness it's something really vile.

How many of us have felt obliged to have sex with a man, a partner, to avoid his anger, sulking, grumpiness. We've chosen sex as the lesser of two evils when we didn't want it.

It's not a human right, is it? They need to calm the fuck down.

It's easy to understand how this combination readily leads to violent behaviour, sexual and other. But the aggression and violence come from an inability to manage testosterone-mediated feelings. This can be taught; it's seemingly not taught well enough, often enough.
As a kicker, engaging in violence increases testosterone.

In species where females are aggressive (lions, for a popular example), they kill each other's young for competitive reasons and also kill their own weaker offspring. Since human reproduction is slow and resource-intensive, it's possible women have evolved lower levels of these qualities so we don't go round murdering all the babies. We don't need so many kids these days so we're ready for meet-in-the-middle evolution, if Nature would hurry up and oblige 😏

As if you can equate a conversation by women - the smaller sex that carries the young and is vulnerable to tremendous abuse - to the same conversation by men. I wish the equating would stop!

And yes, you are quite correct of course, men are the main child rapists and batterers by a long shot. I suspect they are referring to Munchausen by Proxy which is about the only area that women stand out in re child abuse, and mainly because they are the main carers of children (not that I am trying to legitimise women abusing their children ever for any reason of course).

It's not just Munchausen by proxy sadly : women ARE more likely to physically abuse children, at least according to this article. But they tend to be less violent than men who physically abuse, and less likely to cause severe injury. Obvs still terrible.

Yup, an acquaintance I know has just had the federal police knocking on her door looking for her son (19 ) who was viewing child porn & bestiality. This kid was a private school Dux & champion social justice campaigner. The story goes he fell down a porn rabbit hole during COVID. Faced with loads of empty hours, the 'thrills' needed were like heroin, requiring an upping of the ante culminating in this horrendous outcome.

I'm not so sure it's just men, but what we as a society allow to normalise that degenirates humans to this extent.

I'm on here a lot and I haven't seen a thread totally dedicated to how revolting men are. I agree with @fightbackorriseabove though. A lot of men are repulsive.

I am from a solid working class background and my DDad was a good man (worked a lot of hours and loved his wife and kids) but at 17 I got a job and a training position working with middle class people with money, specifically two male partners and their staff and I was stunned at how utterly disgusting these men were.

I have become used to it and am not longer shocked, more a quiet observer from the sidelines.

I got married and DH is too much of a geek to be revolting and I love him for that but in general, I find men repellent now for the way they dress, their lack of hygiene, lack of manners, lack of control, their thoughts and the way they have to speak every smutty thing that comes into their heads 24/7 and they way they live their grubby little lives.

Free speech never has never meant indulging in criminal activities. Bestiality and child rape videos are illegal.

Some people pretend porn is something to do with free speech but of course it is not and cannot be because the entire industry is based on coercion and involves drug fuelled rape and sexual slavery. Since pornography involves underage rape and many other illegal activities and cannot be separated from those activities it cannot be included under the umbrella of free speech no matter if someone disingenuously claims otherwise.

The majority of men look horrific after the age of 50. I look at some friends' partners and they honestly look like they are old enough to be their dad! Overweight bald or white or grey hair plus horrific beards. I am so grateful to be single these days!

I haven’t read it but I’ve read similar things before. But do bear in mind that women do most childcare so it’s not surprising that they are the ones physically chastising children.

Oh it absolutely is, I used to have links to studies showing exactly this, the dopamine hit gets less and less and the porn sites are set up to deliberately pull you into degenerate shit. I did an experiment about a year ago and typed in something like "women with big breasts enjoying normal sex" on one of the major porn sites, and the first two were sort of showing that but third thumbnail down had a granny with a young man in a shower, below that it just got worse and worse. Even if you wanted to find standard normal sex you were steered towards gross shit within about five thumbnails down.

I totally agree with you OP, and you just have to look at the responses from women agreeing with you. As I will bet my bottom dollar every one of these female posters have also personally been affected.

And it is not just me at a ripe age looking back at years and years of being subject to this. My 20 year old daughter just yesterday received a comment about what she was wearing. No she was not walking around bearing all, she was wearing a long hoodie which came to just above her knees with DM boots. Shorts under the hoodie. This came from a man of around 55-60 years of age.
