To think most men are filthy losers

fightbackorriseabove · 07/09/2025 18:05

I'm going through the menopause, so have a low libido at the moment, which might explain my disgust. I don't know. I didn't use to be a prude, but I'm feeling more and more annoyed these days by men and their general behaviour.

I have a few male friends who, to varying degrees, always manage to slip in an innuendo or even an outright sexual remark. And out of politeness, or not wanting to cause a scene, I smile or roll my eyes in jest. I can only think of one occasion when I told a bloke to stop, and he REALLY took the hump. This was a married man who pursued me, but then said he was just joking and that I took myself too seriously. In fact, he got very angry.

I have lots of personal issues at the moment. Mad stuff. One of these issues lead to me googling my ex.

Well, the filth I found was disturbing. Men, thousands of them, masturbating online. I can only think they're doing it in front of each other. Becsuse there can't be many women wanting to sit and watch them. Surely? My ex was one of them.

I'm not talking about Only Fans where people pay. I'm talking about sex webcam stuff where men seem to just be filming themselves wanking. And watching each other. I don't even think it's gay. These are heterosexual men doing it for free. All ages.

Maybe I'm naïve.

But it's been a real eye opener for me.

I always knew men watched porn. But sitting there filming themselves and watching each other. It's madness.

I really do think that we, as women, spend our time worrying, working, caring, thinking, planning... and men just do the stuff thry have to do and then go back to messing with themselves or pestering women. Including their wives. And they keep having to up the limit because they can't get excited uness it's something really vile.

How many of us have felt obliged to have sex with a man, a partner, to avoid his anger, sulking, grumpiness. We've chosen sex as the lesser of two evils when we didn't want it.

It's not a human right, is it? They need to calm the fuck down.

Maybe I'm being unreasonable and grumpy, but I just think most of them ming.

Oh, yes. They all require specific responses and detailed understanding. But there is still that pesky common theme. 😉

Yep, that's true. There are lots of good people out there, including men.

I'll try to focus on that. 😊

@GingerPower, thank you for reminding us all that 'the patriarchy', 'the manosphere' or 'men' (choose your term) is so determined NOT to treat women as adult human individuals, not even worthy of the vote, that women have always had to wrest basic human rights from male clutches.

And also of how recently, in the span of civilisation, women won basic human rights. They are still fragile and can, as we've seen, be ripped away at any time by men because men still hold most of the power. Thank you for reminding us and for demonstrating that this threat's ever-present. We still need to fight it.

@JHound the father has 50/50 custody & works. He also gives the Mum £1000/month so DD has same standard of living. The Mum gets child benefits, tax credit as well as this £1000 maintenance. So she’s not really given up her career as she only has 50% custody & has now moved the daughter out of her home. So I would support the father on this occasion.

One example from this entire site..... Would you now like to count up the number of examples of men behaving exactly as this thread describes? Actually, no - don't: no-one should have to spend three days doing that.

ToutesetBonne · 09/09/2025 09:45

SerafinasGoose · 08/09/2025 17:52

I agree. As the mother of a son it really concerns me. Both he and his father have done our damndest to raise him as a considerate member of society who doesn't view women as service humans or despise them simply for speaking or taking up space. We've tried to lead by that example and we don't hold with 'toxic masculinity' stereotypes or the 'boys will be boys' mentality.

But there's a caveat. Like most mothers I think my son is lovely. He's a kind, intelligent, empathetic child. My fear is that don't raise our kids in a vacuum. Given the way men are raised and socially conditioned, the influences he might be subjected to outside the home do worry me.

Disclaiming responsibility, thinking our own can do no wrong and refusing to see what's beyond the end of our noses will do nothing at all to help the situation. Parents all have a responsibility to raise our boys to be better men - it starts in childhood.

And no, it's not all men. But enough of them are like that to make life for women a real problem on a more-or-less daily basis. It is not being 'bigoted' to point out that fact.

What a wise and honest post: your son is very lucky to have you as his mother.

Yep, and IIRC that woman quite rightly had her backside handed to her on that thread.

ToutesetBonne · 09/09/2025 10:00

We've all heard it before, but it bears repeating...

Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them.

lavendermilkshake · 09/09/2025 10:26

GingerPower · 08/09/2025 12:46

Yeah, but the flipside is greedy women on the take. There's a current thread in AIBU where the OP shares custody 50/50 with the father. She already gets both child benefit payments but has now decided to go for maintenance too having found out how much her ex-h is earning.

Custody is 50/50 and she admitted the father has had the kids for more days than her this year. He's put in a claim for child benefit (presumably to stop her presenting herself as the primary carer) and she's furiously indignant about it although he's done the majority of the childcare and never complained about her having both CB payments.

I see this shit from a lot of women. Even if marriage means assets are now shared, I think I'd feel grabby walking away with far more than I'd ever have earnt on my own.

What's that got to do with a high proportion of men being perverts?

TheGodsOfTheCopybookHeadings · 09/09/2025 10:29

The usual idiocy. It has absolutely nothing to do with it and isn't an equivalent at all.

Yep. The mansplaining MRAs can't seem to let that sink in. (Some) women don't loathe most men for no reason. If any women on here have never had ANY reason to dislike or resent men, they are very VERY fortunate, and I envy them.

I find typically that women who really resent and dislike (most) men are older (45-50+,) because by that age, you have put up with so much fucking shit from men, that it's hard to feel anything other than contempt for them.

Oh, I know.

There are absolutely NO female builders, plumbers, or engineers. None. Not anywhere.

What about dentists, surgeons, teachers? Nothing.

It's all men.

There are no female leaders.

No farmers. Women can't grow shit!!!

We all have to rely on men for those things.

Female mechanics? Nope.

Accountants? Nope.

Politicans? Nope.

Nothing.

I don't know what those women on the island are going to do.

I can't think of ANY female scientists.

And I don't think women understand electricity.

They'll have to open an OnlyFans account, lezzing it up for the boys, which will bring them in enough money to get the lads over to the island to sort everything out.

How are they going to transport stuff to and from the island? I haven't ever heard of a woman being able to sail a boat.

The whole plan is outrageous. They're absolutely fucked those women on that island.

Do you remember the discussions about whether a woman would rather be in the forest with a man or a bear?

That got the mens up in arms as well. But no amount of explaining from woman as to why most would choose the bear was going to sink in then either. And what happened, so many became angrier. And were not stopping having their say. They went on and on about it. I am pretty sure the MRA's have been out moreso, in full force since then.

And here we see similar. There were quite a lot of women I spoke to who chose the man. And from what I established, was those women were either

  1. very fortunate to have not been subjected to abuse, sexual assaults and gender based violence OR,
  2. they were so downtrodden that didn't feel that could make their own decision, and went with the 'what he wants to hear' reply. This was such an eye opener to me, as even their own thoughts and feelings were taken from them.

Of course, these two do not apply to everyone, but in that group I was in, these two options were very much so the case.

I just wish I could feel safe some of the time. I live on my own and Im always checking the door and window locks.
I have 2 male friends I feel safe with and could go to if anything happened but in the last two years I've had a male colleague much younger than me lock me in a room and show me his penis. A male cleaner who wanted to take my key home and ringing and texting all the time and coming round when he had no cleaning to do, I've sacked him now. This was from a legitimate cleaning agency. A gardner who tried to extort money from me with violence and someone I know who I refused a date with who came round and threw eggs at my windows. A plasterer who I had to report to the police.
Im 63 for God's sake. I thought my days of being flashed at and threatened were over.
Neighbours who are men can be nasty too because they know Im a single woman who lives alone. Sometimes for no reason. When I was married men left me alone but then I feared going home to my husband.
Does it never end?

Rubbish!! I’ve worked in housing departments with female trades persons. Of course we have female teachers, CEOs, doctors, surgeons, directors, politicians, engineers throughout uk. What we don’t have is sperm.

Well that island in Finland had to temporarily suspend its no filthy loser policy any time something needed to be fixed. They obviously couldn't source enough female tradespeople to do the jobs, so they had to hire some filthy losers who had spent years, decades perhaps, learning their trade.

Learning their trade satisfactorily by being supported by good women.

There's a saying isn't there "behind every successful man there is a good woman"
