How often do you wash your towels?

Random post but I keep seeing it pop up in articles about how you only need to wash your towels once a week, I wash mine after each use, is this not normal?

But why?? You’re just setting fire to money.

We do. We have a tiny en-suite shower and the towel rail is only big enough for 1 towel. So dh and I sometimes share a towel. Shocking I know. We do then change it more frequently though - maybe after 3 or 4 days.

I used my towel for 3 days then put in laundry basket and have a clean one and DH and foster DC do the same. I only wash all towels once a week though at weekends.

Thank goodness I’m not the only one! I can never quite believe how much washing (and showering) people seem to do on Mumsnet 🙄

When they stop bending

Mine? Once a week. The children? They probably use a fresh one every other day. They wash their own, along with their clothes.

Fair enough @Pigtailsandall Don’t think my DP would share my towel. I’m pretty sure he’d worry about me washing my bum properly, not to mention my hobbits feet 😂
