Went to collect 4 parcels from my local shop. I told her I had 4, she gave me 1 and said “thanks, bye” … I informed it again it was 4. It was taking ages and she claimed she couldn’t find it - but she’d already scanned my code and signed it in the book that it had been collected.

She said “yeah I can’t find it” and then the guy with her told me I would need to wait whilst they served the queue behind me.

Sorry I get there was a queue of 2 people but I was there first and was in the middle of being served and had already been patiently waiting. I don’t think I should have to wait even longer because they couldn’t find my parcel.

I thought this was going to be about being pissed in a pub ….

So what happened in the end?

I’m on the edge of my seat Op…. Did you get your parcels in the end???

But if they couldn’t find it, they couldn’t keep serving you so what can they do?!

Ok but if you had been in that queue would you rather have been served whilst thy hunted for someone else’s parcel or patiently waited? Surely they still looked and found your missing parcels just got the queue served as well?

YABU. You are a faffer and faffers should be made to wait until normal customers get served first.

everytime I go to post office I get stuck behind faffers and I wish the staff at ours made them wait like yours did.

Did they find the parcel in the end? To be fair to the other people it probably was better to serve them and then hunt for your parcel when the queue had cleared. To be fair other people don't care about your parcel. If the roles were reverse how would you feel?

But you can reverse that too, why should I care about what people in the queue wanted?

Holding the queue up messing around. Imagine how the person behind you feels knowing their exchange will take minutes but you’re stood there taking forever

I guess another way to look at it, is that they did the good for the majority rather than the one. Greater good I guess, not easy though being the one who was negatively impacted.

She has 4 parcels to collect - she's made that clear - they've provided just one of the four so she's quite sensibly asked for the other items - it's the shop staff that are holding things up!

Swings and roundabouts. I was buying a can off pop in the shop the other day and the PITA parcel collector interrupted their farting around so that I could be served. I paid with coins too and was gone, just like that. Bish, bash, bosh.
