Is this unflattering for a bridesmaid?

My bridesmaids range in size from 8 to 12. No one happens to be plus size.

Would this dress flatter most of the women do you reckon?

We are late 20s

i have chosen to show the image of the plus size model as I think it highlights that it works on bigger sizes. What do you think?

Really awful around the bust area.

Froum · 09/04/2025 22:03

Bear in mind the model has got a terrible bra situation going on

I don't like it personally, that fabric and cut is very unforgiving of any lumps and bumps that you might wish to conceal.

SoozyWoozy5 · 09/04/2025 22:03

Horrific

saltinesandcoffeecups · 09/04/2025 22:04

I think that style flatters very few body types.

Froum · 09/04/2025 22:04

But all my bridesmaids are slim

Absolutely not. That dress is made for an A or less cup i can imagine it on someone a size 4 but its not flattering at all

Poppyseeds79 · 09/04/2025 22:05

Unless big boobed probably not very flattering? I'd say the wide straps are good for covering thicker bra straps, but on slighter shoulders they'd be too wide. Also the material is too clingy, it's not cut very well, and you'll probably see everyone's knicker lines.

PinkiOcelot · 09/04/2025 22:05

It looks like a nightie.

murasaki · 09/04/2025 22:05

It looks a bit cheap and nasty. Slim can still have bumps.

sweetpickle2 · 09/04/2025 22:05

Why have you shown it on a plus size model if none of your bridesmaids are plus size?

Pinkproseccolady · 09/04/2025 22:05

Nightwear 😡

AprilBunny · 09/04/2025 22:05

Can you show me photo of it with a model the size of your bridesmaids?

MrsMoastyToasty · 09/04/2025 22:06

It looks like a nightdress...and not a well made one.

Froum · 09/04/2025 22:06

What it looks like on a slimmer person

Depends on the body shape of the bridesmaids. I’m small chested, so wouldn’t suit me, but anyone with a reasonable cleavage it would suit. Also, may depend what underwear they have in to disguise lumps and bumps.

However, pretty dress and I like the colour.

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 09/04/2025 22:06

It's cheap looking tbh.

BillyBoe46 · 09/04/2025 22:06

No. Its ugly and unflattering.

mnahmnah · 09/04/2025 22:06

Dresses can still be unflattering on slim people. Their shape, proportions and ‘flabby bits’ can still decide if a dress looks nice on them.

I think it looks nice on the plus size model.

Something like this would work for different sizes. (Photo added but there may be a delay posting)

It’s much too low cut. I wouldn’t be happy to wear that.

saltinesandcoffeecups · 09/04/2025 22:07

It really looks bad on both. 😉

It really doesn’t.

wednesday32 · 09/04/2025 22:07

This is not a flattering dress at all, what have your bridesmaids said?
