Number 2. 1 is an ugly glossy box.

HabitHoarder · 17/02/2025 13:37

I quite like the ugly glossy box (lovely bathrooms!), and my dh would like the modern style.

But of the two, I’d pick the second one. It is a beautiful home in every possible way, although next door’s ugly external ladder looks bothersome - is the road mainly flats?

Clarice99 · 17/02/2025 13:37

Number 2 would be my choice. When can I move in? 😁

Number 1 is ghastly (imo)

FloppySarnie · 17/02/2025 13:38

I’m not at all keen on number 1. It’s new and shiny but not my taste. I much prefer number 2. And I love Leam!

I8toys · 17/02/2025 13:38

Number 2 - gorgeous. Number 1 not much character and that field at the back could be built on.

MikeRafone · 17/02/2025 13:39

is the road mainly flats?

I don't think so - mostly large homes but it is a major A road so a lot of traffic past the front door

the first one is tucked away off an major road routes

Number 2 without a shadow of a doubt - beautiful house, but then I'm not into contemporary houses.

MyUmberSeal · 17/02/2025 13:41

Number 2 is lush. Number 1 is a vanilla boring show home with zero character.

delvar · 17/02/2025 13:41

No.2 definitely.

In No. 1, that field at the back will be built on for sure and interior is beige central and clinical. Re No.2, the outlook is gorgeous and no further building AFAIS.

The "feel" of No.2 is warm, lived in and very very nice.

RunVelma · 17/02/2025 13:41

No 2 every time! It’s very homely. Not a fan of the kitchen though, so I’d want to paint the cupboards & change the handles.

No. 1 just isn’t my style. It’s giving WAG vibes. I’m sure plenty of other people would love it though.

Kilroywashere · 17/02/2025 13:42

Neither. Not enough garden. We are vaguely thinking of moving - I like this, but we are supposed to be severely downsizing 😁Bit of a trek from Leamington, though!

I didn't even get through all the images on house one it's so boring.

House 2 is beautiful and interesting.

Flexilexy · 17/02/2025 13:43

That first property is just hideous. Even if you take all the bland, grey ugly furniture out the house is just depressing (and still grey).
The garden is tiny and backs on to a football pitch, the rooms are just lifeless boxes. It's just a miserable feeling property. I'm not against new builds, but for this amount of money that is a terrible house.

The second house is not really to my taste for the most part, but is beautiful in it's own right.

araiwa · 17/02/2025 13:45

I'd feel sad turning in to my driveway every time if I lived in 1. Looks like exterior was designed by a child. Nice inside though.

Wouldn't pay 1.6m to live on a main road either

Is that really the best Leamington spa has to offer?

xILikeJamx · 17/02/2025 13:45

Image number 18 on the 2nd link alone makes it better than the entire first house.

Frangipaniflower · 17/02/2025 13:52

Number 2 is amazing but Lillington Road is quite busy, whereas the Cloisters is probably the nicest area in Leamington - I can't believe it's so expensive now!

pelargoniums · 17/02/2025 13:54

No.1 is breathtakingly awful.

Butterfly292828 · 17/02/2025 13:56

2nd house is beautiful & won’t date. Unlike first house.

feathermucker · 17/02/2025 13:56

Definitely 2. 1 has no character and what's with all the chairs?!

I8toys · 17/02/2025 13:58

Looking at 2 again - where do you park? Garage would be practically useless on another street? Only one bathroom - no ensuites? Seperate toilet however but for 5 beds?

PandoraSox · 17/02/2025 13:58

No. 2. No. 1 is soulless.

MatildaTheCat · 17/02/2025 14:00

No 2 but I wouldn’t buy it. Strange layout with the tv room open plan to the hallway and that weird wine fridge blocking the window. Also don’t like the loo off the dining room and the master bedroom doesn’t have an en-suite.

Lastly for Mrs Picky, the garden is east facing.

That and a busy road? No.

Bluebellwood129 · 17/02/2025 14:00

Neither. I hate terraced houses and detached houses that are a metre away from the neighbours

Cattery · 17/02/2025 14:02

Number 2 please. It’s gorgeous x

Feelingstrange2 · 17/02/2025 14:02

Number 1 I don't dislike but its very close to the park. And there's no EPC.

Love number 2 but that EPC is evil!!!
