Image number 18 on the 2nd link alone makes it better than the entire first house.

That’s a lot of wine to drink!

CraneBeak · 17/02/2025 14:55

If we're playing at being Leamington Spa millionaires, then I've always wanted to know what the inside of this one looks like...

Fluffyyellowball · 17/02/2025 14:56

I wouldn't buy either but if I had to choose then it would be number 1. Simply because I can look past the decor and the annexe over the garage would be perfect for my daughter. Number 2 has no parking and nowhere near enough bathrooms for a house that size. Plus the kitchen is horrible.

MikeRafone · 17/02/2025 14:58

Number 2 has no parking

It has a garage and a carport - I think both are double or at least the car port is - so room for 3 cars

What I meant to say was that it would not have enough parking for my family. We have four cars. A garage and a carport on some random street not next to the house would not be suitable.

Moveoverdarlin · 17/02/2025 15:02

Number 2 by a country mile. Number 1 is just naff.

handsdownthebest · 17/02/2025 15:04

I prefer no1 as I like a more contemporary style. However the decor is soulless and looks like it has been staged to sell. I could make that into a lovely home with less hotel like furniture.
No 2 looks like it is a home already and beautifully decorated but less to my style.

crumblingschools · 17/02/2025 15:06

@user2155340308842 I was thinking houses are expensive in leamington!

If paying that amount I wouldn't want to be so overlooked and on a busy main road. Would also want an ensuite. So that would rule out No 2

Garden very small in house no 1 and wouldn't want kids playing football right by my boundary, again not worth the money

they are at the bottom of the garden, but hay if you need a garage right next to the house then thats not going to work for you - I don't have the asking price anyway and couldn't afford the council tax or heating bills😂

Lovely until I realised it was Somerset? You couldn't pay me to live there unfortunately.

Oh why? I lived in Wells and loved it. Mind you that was some time ago.

RuffRuffRuf · 17/02/2025 15:07

Number one creeps me out for some reason. It looks like something out of a film or drama where the weird automaton wife lives. urgh. makes me shudder.

MikeRafone · 17/02/2025 15:12

I'd also turn one of the bedrooms upstairs into another bathroom

in number 2 the dressing room is large enough to make into 2 bathrooms, so you could have 2 ensuite to the two largest bedrooms - one is now an office

OP posts:
GoldMoon · 17/02/2025 15:12

2nd one has more character , but they are both close to other properties.

For the money I'd like more space around them.

PoorLion · 17/02/2025 15:15

Number 1. Lovely views, high spec, quiet location and multiple bathrooms.

ritasuebobtoo · 17/02/2025 15:17

BeardieWeirdie · 17/02/2025 13:35

Number 2. 1 is an ugly glossy box.

All they’d need to do is put external shutters on those windows and it’d look good..

Haha. I guess it just goes to show how relative everything is when it comes to houses.

Yeah, I'd still take one of those bedrooms and turn it into a nice, big bathroom/shower room.

I'd also pull up the carpets! Not a big fan of carpeting. And replace it with wood floors and area rugs.

Hotdayinjuly · 17/02/2025 15:20

2 looks beautiful but I don’t think it is adequately bathroomed for the cost. The whole upstairs is a bit disappointing.

1 has a lovely floor plan and the garage adds a lot but it is lacking a bit of character.

apart from the price they are very different homes.

CerealPosterHere · 17/02/2025 15:21

No 2. Far more character.

No 1 is also very close to a big A road and I'd be worried about the school selling off their playing fields and a housing estate being crammed in that field/

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 17/02/2025 15:22

YABU. The kitchen in house 2 doesn't have enough storage.

ShanghaiDiva · 17/02/2025 15:23

I used to live in Leamington Spa- number 2 without a doubt!

Who needs parking when there’s a huge garage? It’s a much, much nicer house than the first one.

crumblingschools · 17/02/2025 15:32

What's the difference between a garage and a car port? I didn't think a car port had a door but this one does

RedHelenB · 17/02/2025 15:32

It's a choice between old and new. I think for that money the location would be a factor for me too.
