Where do all the students live in Leamington?

Who needs parking when there’s a huge garage? It’s a much, much nicer house than the first one.

I guess opinions are subjective. Where would visitors park if the family were parked it the garage and the house is situated on a busy road?
It is shoehorned in between two other properties which I really don't like. The lack of bathrooms would also be a big issue for us.
The first house would suit our needs as a family far better than the second house. Fortunately I can see past decor and would be able to make it a beautiful home.

KimberleyClark · 17/02/2025 15:36

No 2. No 1 is a shiny characterless box.

Coconutter24 · 17/02/2025 15:39

No1. It looks more private than number 1 and plenty of parking out front

TheOnlyMrsW · 17/02/2025 15:41

No 2, the first one is so sterile and boring! Plus who doesn't love a toilet with a crockery display 😂

Strumpetpumpet · 17/02/2025 15:53

the second one is much prettier but I’d go with a detached with off road parking every time. I’m crap at parking so I need a driveway, and I don’t want to hear any noises from next door thank you 😂

longtompot · 17/02/2025 16:06

1 would suit our needs perfectly
but
2 suits what we are looking for looks wise and is a much more beautiful home. It does appear to have the wine locked away, unless it's a large temperature controlled area in the cellar?

longtompot · 17/02/2025 16:11

pelargoniums · 17/02/2025 14:15

Looks like it’s beyond the fence line, like it must come from next door’s upstairs, so next door might be flats. Not spending £1.6m to live next to flats!

It looks like it's to the upstairs annex of the garage if it's the stairs in photo 29 you are on about

CheekySnake · 17/02/2025 16:15

No 2 is beautiful but as others have said, with that EPC it will be bloody freezing.
We moved from a new build to a house with a poor EPC a few years ago. Wouldn't have done it if I'd known.

The EPC for no. 1 will be high. It's a new build.

crumblingschools · 17/02/2025 16:18

@longtompot think it is house 2 they are talking about with the stairs, photo 14

Dancingatthepinkponyclub · 17/02/2025 16:19

Number 2 for sure.

Number 1 is not my taste at all!!

Seeing photo 6 with the curtain behind the front door immediately made me think it must be a cold, draughty house.

Also, I can't figure out what is going on with the wall/wallpaper around the fire place in photos 7 and 8. From the photos it looks like damp?

warmcatsofa · 17/02/2025 16:30

No1 is very The only way is Essex or similar. Show home vibes lacking character. Number two is beautiful and just needs an interior designer with a bit of flair to update it.

CerealPosterHere · 17/02/2025 16:30

Yes the heating bills for 2 would be high. It quite possibly has no cavity wall and I have sworn I won’t buy a house with no cavity wall /better insulation again.

ChristmasPudd1990 · 17/02/2025 16:31

2nd one.🥰

Flamingoknees · 17/02/2025 16:38

2 - though I'd like it moved to the location of 1 please.
1 has no soul.

Scutterbug · 17/02/2025 16:44

Lillington rd. I live near Leamington and I’ve coveted a house like that!

Thirteenblackcat · 17/02/2025 16:49

Number 2 is beautiful

number 1 is a bit Mrs hinch

tsmainsqueeze · 17/02/2025 16:55

Number 1 is vile, bland with no soul.
Number 2 is gorgeous ,i could move in tomorrow.

MaloryJones · 17/02/2025 16:58

House 2

House 1 is lovely in its way, and obvs high spec but very spacious ... would cost a lot to heat imo

Where do all the students live in Leamington?

South Leamington mostly. North Leamington is the posher end.

Tyvfghjifc · 17/02/2025 17:49

Number 2 nicer but the location of one with fields would be my choice. Would be moving in with lots of paint

MrsMitford3 · 17/02/2025 17:52

Number one is just awful. Flash, tacky, naff and ugly.

Number 2 gorgeous!

DazzyRascale · 17/02/2025 17:53

Ooh v local to me! Love Leamington Spa.

Londonmummy66 · 17/02/2025 17:59

BreezyScroller · 17/02/2025 14:21

They both need an awful amount of redecorating, but number 2 is my choice without a doubt.

Number 1 has a ridiculously small garden. It would make a nice airBnB, but I wouldn't love living in it permanently.

Put number 2 in London and I'll buy it! The price would be higher unfortunately.

Found property 2 in London for you - nearly twice the price though https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/154143422#/?channel=RES_BUY
