And German politics and just focus on the President he’s already paid for and turning X into a toxic wasteland.

Elon Musk payed people to play a computer game for him, just so he'd be in the top 10 Diablo players in the world.

He's so desperate to be liked and respected but really no one likes him, they just like his money and the influence it buys.

I wouldn't be surprised if he pays people to promote and defend him on public forums. Insecure little bellend that he is

It's incredible how little few people outside the UK knew about the rape gangs until it went viral on X. I'm pleased that more people will now know how what happened (and is likely still happening) to these girls and how subsequent governments ignored them. It's an absolute disgrace. I hope this become bigger and bigger. It's a massive scandal that this has been allowed to happen.

Agree, how can their not be an inquiry?

Despite what people think from my posts I am not right wing- but I am amazed at how the government can not see they are pushing people towards the right with their lack of transparency.

This is a government that has imprisoned people for posts on Facebook but are unwilling to look into the systematic rape of young girls.

Are you aware who runs the majority of the media who control everything you see ? Are you aware of the WEF and that Keir is their puppet ? And Charles is big fan of them ? Do you know who the WHO are ? I’d love all them and the rest to mind their business and stay the hell out of UK politics.

A man having his own opinion and posting on his social media seems to have rattled so many people. But yet Soros pushes an entire narrative but that’s ok ?

MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 03/01/2025 11:23

What? Shutting down free speech?

Elon is needed more than ever because of people like you who only want one particular narrative discussed.

Free speech? He's been shutting down or limiting the X accounts of those who openly disagree with him.

Go on then, who controls the media?

The establishment are evil. At least Musk is his own man.

They don't know. They don't even know what they don't know. Talk about exposing your ignorance about how politics work. They take us and treat us like fools because so many of us are.

From that post, I've got a sneaking suspicion who they think it is.

Yes the fragility of his ego is very obvious, just like Trump really. It surely can’t be too long before they fall out with each other? I can’t see that relationship lasting.

It was OK when it was Murdoch deciding our elections. Now it's Musk and people are losing their shit.

I don't think people have ever been particularly happy with Murdoch's control of the media?

Same here, I just want them to be honest about their prejudice.

Ablondiebutagoody · 03/01/2025 12:15

Why are you against somebody expressing an opinion?

Annabella92 · 03/01/2025 12:16

randomchap · 03/01/2025 12:09

Go on then, who controls the media?

There are two primary factions of the media, the establishment elite, Guardian, BBC, and financial elites, Murdochs etc. Then there are social media platforms, owned by Musk, Zuckerberg and they have their own moderation principles. If you're genuinely interested in this, there's a film called Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky. There's also lots of media theory available by pluralists, Marxists and Neo Maxists etc....

GreenWasper · 03/01/2025 12:17

Kind of beside the point but it is so incredibly cringe when people call him by just his first name like they're friends.

Sarahconnor1 · 03/01/2025 12:18

Is it all wealthy foreigners that we want to stop influencing UK politics or just Elon Musk. Because there is a list as long as your arm if its the former.

Jumpingthruhoops · 03/01/2025 12:18

Magnastorm · 03/01/2025 12:03

No, what we need is informed, intellegent and invested people with knowledge of the issues on BOTH sides of the debate.

Not narcissist, popularist twats using incredibly important and complicated issues as an excuse to try to undermine the government of a country he has no interest in apart from how many of his shitty cars he sells.

Sorry... 'both sides of the debate'!?

There IS no debate. According to the court documents, what happened to these girls was nothing short of barbaric.

We should all be happy that someone... anyone... is calling Starmer to account.

RJnomore1 · 03/01/2025 12:19

People really need to put their critical thinking head on and ask what benefits there are to people like musk from controlling the media and promoting their ideology.

Lightswitchup · 03/01/2025 12:15

There seems to be speculation that Musk is running a sock account who replies to himself saying what a great father he is.

Thing is, I can absolutely believe him doing that. He uses the internet like a teenager. Changing his username to Kekius Maximus is just an embarrassing thing for an adult to do.

IhadaStripeyDeckchair · 03/01/2025 12:20

It's really worrying how different news sources push their version of issues in order to make money & increase their power & influence.

It's a major issue that all social media reinforces a consumers world view; so if the look at something mildly right wing their feed becomes more & more extremely right wing (or left wing or whatever). Increasingly news is so distorted it has only a passing resemblance (if any) to the truth and that's concerning.

I think we should urgently put in place laws not allowing overseas or foreign owned institutions or individuals to fund any political party and we should look at

Good! 👍

Starmer was elected in via a legitimate legal democratic process. And you are cheering on someone trying to overturn that? Shame on you.

Oh so very much this!!
It’s been apparent to me that we don’t have a free press in this country for quite some time. That’s where social media should come in, uncensored.

Read a state of fear about how much the press was used to control the masses during Covid. Quite the eye opener. If certain publications didn’t follow the party line, they would get banned from having access to fresh stories coming from Downing Street which in turn would impact their readership and their bottom line.

Errors · 03/01/2025 12:26

Also, watch a film called Official Secrets on Netflix and tell me you think we have a free press…
