I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

I have seen this, the video is awful. I feel sorry for her based on seeing the clip, but then I also think she is a complete idiot. She is an adult and should know better & should want more for herself than to be famous for sleeping with so many idiots.

It wasn't for a documentary. She was doing it for her only fans account. Someone made a documentary after she had announced she was going to do it.

I read that her mother is part of her 'support' team and does the accounts for the vast amount of money she is making. So instead of trying to talk her out of it, her mother seems complicit. How very sad.

Having been in a psychiatric unit this summer (not common for me!) and also sectioned briefly I think this would be the best outcome for her. She isn’t mentally well.

I think one of the saddest things about the way society is set up is that women feel like sex work can be empowering - because it (can, for some women) feel like admiration / popularity / desirability.

The problem is, that however you want to argue it, there is a supply and demand issue for sex (generally men want it, women are often the gate keepers)

Women confuse the demand for them as a sexual partner with the demand for them as a life partner and then there’s a horrible realisation when the two don’t match up. The aftermath of sex where one has felt very desired with the cold reality that your company, maybe is not.

Of course there are plenty of circumstances where women just want no strings sex - and it can be perfectly rewarding for both parties. But this woman’s search for notoriety / fame / adulation ultimately is her trying to remedy a gap where she hasn’t felt loved + important - so the crashing sense that ‘actually that doesn’t serve me at all’ is going to feel awful.

I feel horrible for her - she needs to work out what the hole is in her heart that she’s trying to fill - and seek out ways of doing it that don’t harm her.

Maybe for her next stunt she will wear safety specs.

I agree with this. People make the wrong choices and make mistakes and get hurt and I don't think we should have a go at them too much. But when prime maker the wrong choices and hurt other people then I think that's more deserving of censure.

It's all disgusting and grim though. Imagine if that was your daughter. Horrific way to make a 'living.' I would be devastated at how spectacularly I had failed as a parent if either of my daughters felt they had to do this.

I agree that there is nothing 'empowering' about it. What on earth is 'empowering' about fucking 100s of men?! The more people any given person fucks, the less respect I have for them to be honest. (Woman OR man.) You get men sometimes bragging about having fucked 500, 600, or even a 1000 women, and I just think 'gross! 😖I bet he has a rancid dick.'

I wouldn't touch any man with a barge pole who claimed to have fucked 100s of women. It's not big or clever; even the dumbest animals can shag! It doesn't make you special or clever, and it certainly doesn't mean you're super attractive.

My point isn't necessarily that these women deserve our sympathy. I think something has gone very wrong somewhere if this is looking like a good idea to anyone, male or female.

I haven't seen the news items that you mention but again, I would say that the shift of blame towards any female in the vicinity is very telling. You describe a very young male, potentially a dad / uncle and a woman who is orchestrating the situation but blame is being shifted to people who were not present or consulted.

The issue is clearly much bigger than any individual so to single anyone out for blame is a waste of time. We should be looking at the systems in play that make these actions seem OK to individuals.

I've read about some previous record attempt like this and it involves a whole series of other women to act as "fluffers" so the men would be ready for the act itself straight away when it was their turn. All absolutely grim.
