A leaked French medical report from 2023 has confirmed that Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is male.

Top endocrinologists found that Khelif has XY chromosomes, no uterus, internal testicles, and a "micropenis."

The report was drafted in June of 2023 via a collaboration between the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital in Paris, France, and the Mohamed Lamine Debaghine hospital in Algiers, Algeria. Drafted by expert endocrinologists Soumaya Fedala and Jacques Young, the report reveals that Khelif is impacted by 5-alpha reductase deficiency, a disorder of sexual development that is only found in biological males.

I stopped reading the Guardian when it stated that Khelif was born female. He wasn't. Everyone knew he wasn't. I can handle a socio-political slant, every news source has one, but a flat out fucking lie? I don't mind them choosing their news but I won't support them lying about what it is.

Helleofabore · 04/11/2024 22:20

Khelif failed two sex tests. This led to the disqualification from the female category from competitions under the IBC, WBO and EBC. At the IBC press conference, Dr. Ioannis Filippatos, a OBGYN and surgeon confirmed those tests.

Why would this doctor lie?

That is why this doubling down on ‘you can’t tell 100% of the time’ is, in effect, meaningless. The testing was done. The IOC didn’t require testing because they prioritise inclusion over fairness, Dr Richard Budgett stated this in 2021. Nothing that the IOC stated contradicted what has been reported.

ChishiyaBat · 04/11/2024 22:20

The only thing 99.99% of trans identified people are passing is gas! "Oh but You can never tell, you wouldn't know" Sorry, but most people would around 96% of the time!

TheKeatingFive · 04/11/2024 22:22

TriangleLight · 04/11/2024 22:19

No. I don’t but I’d like the source verified

They've quoted the original French source. What more are you looking for now, given that further verification could only come from Khelif himself (in releasing test results)?

OneBadKitty · 04/11/2024 22:13

Some of you are so sure of yourselves. For the most part I think you can tell the difference between the sexes. Just occasionally though I think it is far more ambiguous and there are some people who can pass as the opposite sex successfully. Unless you already know they are a trans-person you might meet them and never even suspect them of being anything other than how they present themselves.

What's that got to do with a male competing/cheating in women's boxing?

TheKeatingFive · 04/11/2024 22:24

So we have IBA confirmation of two sex tests failed, his own coach confirming the XY and the male levels of testosterone, plus now a report from the doctors who examined him,

What more are people actually looking for?

OneBadKitty · 04/11/2024 22:24

BodyKeepingScore · 04/11/2024 22:16

Literally never met one trans person who passes. Especially not MtF.

But how do you know you've never met a trans person that 'passes'? If they passed you wouldn't know you'd met a trans person would you?

Nothing.

I'm not saying this poster is one, but gender ideologues will always try to play guessing games with somebody's bio sex before they will ever address the immorality of a male competing against women.

Precisely this. Most of them mistake the fact that many people are too polite to bring it up for "passing"

Reduxx does openly have an agenda. I’m not pro males in women’s boxing but I’d like confirmation of the source of this

Please post anything you have seen on Reduxx that you have found to be false?

Why do you doubt this in the face of the evidence that has been uncovered so far and the lack of any contradiction by the IOC? nothing the IOC has stated contradicted what Reduxx initially reported nor the IBA official statements nor the information from Georges Carzola.

Considering Khelif has not given permission for any medical records to be released and is not likely to, exactly what do you expect main stream media to report?

SpudleyLass · 04/11/2024 22:27

In my opinion, gender ideologues are misogynists who believe that women in the west somehow get special treatment.

The whole movement is a backlash against the minimum gained by women.7

This is why they jumped on the Imane Khelif scandal. This is why they will always deflect - its a special men's rights movement, nothing more, nothing less.

BodyKeepingScore · 04/11/2024 22:28

@OneBadKitty because each and every one of them can be clocked a mile off in the real world, away from their filters on profile pics.

Perhaps it's my own history that has made me hyper vigilant of people around me, but I don't think I'm unique in my experience.

As I've said before, humans have accurately been able to deduce the sex of other adult humans for millennia. That hasn't suddenly changed because social contagion has created a situation where in the past 20 years suddenly hundreds of thousands of humans claim to be "born in the wrong body". We can still tell. And we have always been able to.

NonPlayerCharacter · 04/11/2024 22:29

Khelif doesn't pass and even if he did, he has twice failed a sex test anyway. So why is any of this relevant?

Indeed. This thread is about a cheating male. Maybe everyone should leave the sealion to their own devices now…

People seem to think I believe men can be women and vice versa but I don’t. My argument is solely that you can’t always
tell and acting like you can
always tell is harmful. Maybe 99.99% of the time you can but with the number of people in the world that still an awful lot. And the Olympics brings out the extraordinary which makes it even more difficult. So for me the only fair way to determine is testing, not “well he looks/moves/punches like a man to me!” which seems to be enough for most on the thread.

Seriously, why would Dr. Ioannis Filippatos be lying that he has seen the results of the sex tests done and that Khelif has male chromosomes and male level testosterone?

Do you believe a gynaecologist would not be able to read these test results and accurately report on them?

Caerulea · 04/11/2024 22:34

user1471500282 · 04/11/2024 21:58

But this is my point. I don’t trust eyes, I see beautiful feminine men but they are men, no matter how feminine. Is that not so?

Recently watched two series with actors who twigged something in my brain. Not a single other actor in either series, just these two had a mismatch - I KNEW they were female but both characters were male. so I googled them & sure enough they were FtM irl

I knew nothing of them prior, no idea about the casting in either series & nothing in the canon for one of them - but I knew.

As an aside - both were bloody brilliant in their roles & it made zero difference to me, I couldn't actually have cared less in that respect. But it was impossible to ignore my eyes when my brain was screaming at me that the maths was off somehow.

TheAutopsyOfMNCorpus · 04/11/2024 22:35

I'm sure that this won't help sway anyone who still clings to the idea that IK is female.

However, for anyone who is unsure but now understands that it has been revealed that the DSD concerned is 46XY 5ARD, this chart will hopefully be helpful to confirm what this means.

imane khelif has been allegedly confirmed to be a man.

It's not. The issue is a proven male having just won a gold medal in a female event. At the bloody OLYMPICS. Why the hell was he allowed to compete?

theilltemperedqueenofspacetime · 04/11/2024 22:37

Planesmistakenforstars · 04/11/2024 21:58

Yes, that is true. But the person I quoted stated that it is the reason female amateur boxers wear head guards, and male ones don't. And that is not true.

That pp was quoting me. I did not intend to imply that women wear head guards because they have thinner skulls, but that men don't wear them because their greater punching power exposes them to a risk of torsion injuries caused by a glove catching the head guard. Reference to broken necks was hyperbole, I agree. I should have checked my source.

On the whole we can detect sex but I disagree with you about it being 100% foolproof.

This older article by Reuters makes it fairly clear that a DSD is involved.

I'm not disagreeing with you- it's relevant because it's a response to discussion from others on the thread about them knowing that IK was a man from the way he looked and moved,

Yes. However there are no DSDs found in females that fit with an athlete like Khelif. He's a male with a DSD, which this report confirms.
