A leaked French medical report from 2023 has confirmed that Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is male.

Top endocrinologists found that Khelif has XY chromosomes, no uterus, internal testicles, and a "micropenis."

The report was drafted in June of 2023 via a collaboration between the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital in Paris, France, and the Mohamed Lamine Debaghine hospital in Algiers, Algeria. Drafted by expert endocrinologists Soumaya Fedala and Jacques Young, the report reveals that Khelif is impacted by 5-alpha reductase deficiency, a disorder of sexual development that is only found in biological males.

He needs to give his gold medals back. The IOC should be ashamed and apologise to all those women who got brutally punched by a man in the boxing ring.

Cuppachuchu · 04/11/2024 13:22

No surprise there. The way he punched that woman still makes me shudder.

RachelNoire · 04/11/2024 13:23

No shit Sherlock

PumpkinSpiceMuffins · 04/11/2024 13:23

Just because he has a micropenis does not entitle him to beat up women and steal their sports prizes. Surely they will strip him of the medal he wrongly received now.

IhateSPSS · 04/11/2024 13:25

Having being punched in the face by an average height and weight woman and having being punched in the face by a 6 foot 3, lean man I can tell you I'm not surprised at all by this. Only one of them gave me a black eye and broke my jaw and it wasn't the average woman.

Her opponent in the Olympics quit the fight because she knew what would cause her significant harm and I don't for a minute think it was based on prejudice, but a sensible measure for self preservation.

MidnightPatrol · 04/11/2024 13:27

The Olympic standard for checking your sex, if I understand correctly, was just whatever was in your passport.

This is probably too simplistic, given the risk of situations like the above.

Sad for everyone involved really - these sports bodies need to actually take some responsibility if they want to be taken seriously.

Funnywonder · 04/11/2024 13:27

Well well well ...

UmbrellaEllaEllaElla · 04/11/2024 13:27

This was obvious to anyone who was paying attention.

Polyp0 · 04/11/2024 13:27

Is this likely to be confirmed officially though?

SeulementUneFois · 04/11/2024 13:28

No shit Sherlock indeed!
Thank you OP.

lifeturnsonadime · 04/11/2024 13:29

Shameful, both he and the IOC and all of the people who have supported him ought to be ashamed.

This is sanctioned violence against women.

Men have no place in women's sport. Not the ones with DSD's nor the ones who identify as women.

Women matter.

WetBandits · 04/11/2024 13:30

I still don’t agree with the witch hunt. If Khelif reasonably believed themselves to be female and had been brought up as female since birth without knowing about the chromosomal disorder, they were not acting as a man boxing against women. Intent counts here, I think.

If they knew and still competed, that is a different story.

He went through male puberty. He knew full well he wasn't a woman and still went on to beat women up in the Olympics.

Intent does indeed count.

I am sorry he has a DSD but that doesn't give him the right to punch women.

I think it’s probably even more complicated for them.

They grew up in real poverty, in an isolated area, traditional community, religious etc.

And - their boxing was their way out of that poverty I suppose.

Complicated factors for them personally beyond whether or not they should have been allowed to compete.

The medical tests and results were from 2023. He knew well before he competed in the 2024 Olympics. The IOC also knew.

I don’t think he knew growing up but I think he knew by the time he competed. What he believed himself to be/identified as I do not know…but it shouldn’t matter. Having (mostly) developed physically as a male it wasn’t fair to fight against women and it was dangerous as well as being unfair.

ResisterOfTwaddleRex · 04/11/2024 13:38

They knew. They still let him compete. They lied. We were told we were wrong and we were nasty so that a man could steal other women's places in competition, and hit women. There's no excuse. Maybe you did grow up in poverty or have a hard life. Immaterial. Not relevant. Facts and fairness are the only relevant things in sports. He should hand back his medals and recuse himself from women's sports. The people who let him in should resign or be sacked.

This. He clearly knew he was a man but enjoyed beating up females in the boxing ring. IOC should hang their heads in shame and demand his medal back.

The gaslighting of women by the IOC is truly shocking.

The committee members involved in this should apologise and resign.

SpudleyLass · 04/11/2024 13:42

I believe its the same DSD as Caster Semenya.

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 04/11/2024 13:42

We need a 'Women's Lives Matter' movement...

Snorlaxo · 04/11/2024 13:44

I’m not surprised. You could tell from behaviour cues that Imane is not a Muslim woman. The medals should be returned and a new policy for testing drafted because there was a Taiwanese boxer who also rejected by IBA but allowed by the IOC.

I think a more interesting question is: Will it be officially denied?🤔
