I made the mistake of reading the news article. It might actually give me nightmares.

4 months she didn’t attend school. 4 months. Never mind fining parents for taking their kids out of school for 10 days because they can’t afford a holiday. 4 months!!!! Where the fuck was the local authority or social services?????

I hope you are finally at peace Sara and will never be frightened or in pain again.

I think she had been taken out of school to be home schooled to hide the abuse.

YourFunMember · 14/10/2024 19:29

I was somewhere today where on the wall there was a poster about how to support your child’s health, and there were various headings and things you could do to support their mental well being. My husband and I read it and he asked how he thought we were doing, and I said all of them, and he agreed. I have a 10 year old myself and the thought that my child gets supported by her parents in every way but that poor little darling was abused by those fucking ANIMALS shatters my heart. That poor, poor little thing.

Moulook31 · 14/10/2024 19:29

5% saying your are being unreasonable! Unbelievable.

Happens all the time sadly when women.speak out about abuse. Cafcass give priority to fathers over the child's safety.

This is true. I was told to ensure I didn’t look like a poisonous mother or that I was doing parental alienation as my children would be given to him.

Why was the step mother not physically made to give her dental impressions? Prison for life for all of them is too lenient. That poor innocent child endured years and years of abuse and her injuries were not treated. She died alone and afraid and in pain and just left like a piece of meat. I cried my eyes out earlier and my partner had to hold me, that poor child.

violetcuriosity · 14/10/2024 19:31

This makes me feel physically sick and I work in safeguarding. Cunts.

Over40Overdating · 14/10/2024 19:34

I have not read the full reports as I don’t think I can take it but that savage SM refusing to give dental impressions to match to teeth marks on a little girl’s thigh makes me want to turn Old Testament.

I don’t care if she claims abuse of coercion, I hope someone takes pleasure in removing those teeth for her.

I ended up in a refuge after my fiancé punched me in the stomach when I was heavily pregnant. Social services want to pay for him to see the baby in a contact centre because he only hit me once. Its heartbreaking it really is.

I needed access to my medical records recently and it's recorded on there that I was raped and sexually abused by my father for years. I was forced to see him every weekend for a further 2 years after it was noted, missed every Monday off school and unable to walk. I was 9 years old and it's taken a lot of therapy knowing it was on my medical record and nobody cared. Unfortunately I don't think things will ever change.

Rest in peace beautiful girl

I am so sorry that you endured that horrific abuse and the gross negligence of those in authority who were supposed to protect you. This has made me cry, I'm so very sorry you were so badly failed.

TopshopCropTop · 14/10/2024 19:38

Another raft of “lessons learned” by social services no doubt. I’m absolutely fucking sick of reading this stuff I really am. Schools obsessed with fining parents for taking their kids out for a week to Disney land but this girl was absent for 4 months and nothing was done.

Harriet42 · 14/10/2024 19:39

I am struggling to cope with the news and I cannot bring myself to comprehend what is happening to children in our society. What is wrong with some people?!

Sussurations · 14/10/2024 19:42

@TashaTudor thank you for your courage in sharing what you have been through. I wish you the very best with your therapy, recovery and healing.

coxesorangepippin · 14/10/2024 19:43

Well, how would you make her?

^

'unwilling to cooperate with police enquires' must merit an extra few years on her already substantial sentence, surely???

BlushingBrightly · 14/10/2024 19:45

RIP Sara. I hope proper justice finds each of these evil people.

It's worth remembering Sara every time someone posts on here that they have doubts about how a child is being treated, followed by a river of posts saying best not interfere, keep your nose out, parents probably doing their best, having a bad time, walk a mile in their shoes, and all that. People may have said that about Sara and felt it would be wrong to interfere.

Well they'd force finger prints wouldn't they?

Why can't her dental records be used?

"She was naughty so I beat her up." She was 10 years old! Fucking disgraceful. If she's naughty, take away her tablet for a day or something. Fucks sake.

SoMauveMonty · 14/10/2024 19:48

I read things like this and think that asteroid can't come soon enough.
We're supposed to be a civilised species but the cruelty, sadism and brutality inflicted so regularly on some of our most vulnerable makes me think we're completely bloody lost.

N4ish · 14/10/2024 19:17

There needs to be a register of home schooled children so Councils are forced to keep track of them and monitor their welfare. The law allowing adults to hit children also needs to be changed so abusers like this can't claim they were legally punishing their children.

I agree with both points

Over40Overdating · 14/10/2024 19:50

@SoMauveMonty I am having this thought more and more, recently. We have lost our way so badly. The brutality and rage especially of men is only getting worse, it feels.

Littys · 14/10/2024 19:54

My hope for these people is that they are given long sentences and that their fellow inmates beat the living shit out of them and MORE.
Every single day.
May they never have a moments peace.
May they look over their should every single day waiting for the next beating and MORE.
Absolutely horrific.
May she rest in peace.

itsgettingweird · 14/10/2024 19:55

Fucking hell.

What a monster.

He beat her up because she was naughty but went to far 🤯 FFS that wasn't a smack that was too hard. He shattered her bones, tied her up to a hot pipe and bit her.

What that poor young girl endured in her final weeks of life is nothing short of torture. I hope the previous 10 years were peaceful and not full of abuse.

RIP little Sara and I hope you're free of pain and suffering

Livelovebehappy · 14/10/2024 19:56

I really hope the reason SS and the school were slow to act isn’t as a result of the culture/faith of the family involved.

HaveYouSeenRain · 14/10/2024 19:57

For those asking about siblings, this was reported 9 months ago. Could have changed since then of course

The older brother and half-siblings of the 10-year-old schoolgirl Sara Sharif, who was found dead at the home of her father and stepmother in August, have been made wards of court in this country.
Despite efforts by Surrey county council to secure their return to the UK, all five children, aged one to 13, remain in Pakistan where they were taken by their father, Urfan Sharif, and the mother of the younger four siblings, Beinash Batool, the day before Sara’s body was discovered by police on 10 August.

ChishiyaBat · 14/10/2024 19:58

That poor little girl. I read that article and it was so horrific what she was subjected to, I really hope they suffer at least a fraction of what that innocent child had to endure, but they won't they'll be protected.
I hope Sara is at peace now.
