Stressedgiraffe · 27/09/2024 14:33

I'm in a newish job and need to fill in expenses for the first time. I'm owed about £300 for taxis for September.
Can I get the bloody thing to attach my receipts no i cannot. Just spent the last hour trying to do it. Arghhhhhh!
I actually miss Concur.
I think i hate this more than MS project and that's saying a lot.

Word. The least intuitive software ever.

notprincehamlet · 27/09/2024 14:37

Jira. The bastard.

jeaux90 · 27/09/2024 14:39

When I started my new job two years ago (I am in tech) they gave me a Mac, I absolutely hated it with a passion and swapped it out.

AspirationalTallskinnylatte · 27/09/2024 14:41

The authenticator app. Such a piss about.

jeaux90 · 27/09/2024 14:42

Oh yes the Okta verify app, absolute tosser.

MoveToParis · 27/09/2024 14:44

Google Sheets and all the associated shit.

Just use Outlook- everyone thinks that purchasing was getting a back hander it is a an absolute disaster zone and everyone hates it.

Ponderingwindow · 27/09/2024 14:45

Workday

whoever designed that should be fired

out of a cannon into the sun

using it to record complicated time sheets is a massive, unpaid, time suck

dizzydizzydizzy · 27/09/2024 14:46

I work in a leisure centre and they use software designed in the 80s. Due to its age, it does not follow modern conventions. So, the search is a pair of binoculars instead of a magnifying glass. Doing anything takes about 1000 clicks of the mouse.

chewingthefurnishings · 27/09/2024 14:46

FUCKING MICROSOFT TEAMS!!!!
😡😡😡😡😡😡

AhBiscuits · 27/09/2024 14:48

Yes to Authenticator App and Word.

Hit return.
Font changes and line springs half way across the page.
I don't want this line indented. Tough shit. You will never correct it.

Jira. The bastard.

This. There’s a special place in Software hell for Jira.

Stompythedinosaur · 27/09/2024 14:51

The printer.

I have never worked somewhere with a printer that reliably worked.

I know we are minority but I feel you!

Came here to say the wireless printer, I just want wire ones back and for them to work!!!

I just re wired my home one back in as it never worked across WiFi or Bluetooth or whatever the fuck it was trying to do.

I've given up on the one at work. I'll just hire a scribe and get some papyrus if I want a hard copy in the office.

Crazyeight · 27/09/2024 14:57

The people who thought Microsoft would inject us with chips to control our brains via the COVID vaccine. If these people had ever used MS Teams or outlook they would know how ridiculous this is.

I do like onenote yet that's the one piece of software they seem to want to get rid of.

EdnaMole · 27/09/2024 15:01

As a primary school teacher, I was obliged one year to use “Report Assist” for the dreaded annual report to parents.
To misquote Shania Twain, it didn’t assist me much.

You didn't say the name of the software. What is it?

Daisydaisydaizee · 27/09/2024 15:01

For me it's the recent versions of MS Word.

LoobyDoop2 · 27/09/2024 15:03

Workday is pretty bad. The way it’s configured for us, you can’t see how many days holiday you have left, only how many hours you’ve already taken. Shouldn’t be bloody rocket science.

Our expenses system is worse, I’ve basically calculated that for less than about £100 it’s not worth the stress of trying to submit anything.

Now I’ve written that down, I’m seeing a plan.

MoleAtTheCounter · 27/09/2024 15:04

ArcGIS. Not remotely intuitive and woeful help. So often I get stalled in it and pray for a YouTube video. I love Word and Teams in comparison.

I wish I'd thought of saying this to people during the pandemic!

Noone whose ever used Outlooks 'search function' would ever think Microsoft are capable of controlling us via microchip.

Also if anyone can explain to me why it's so shit, or if I'm likely using it wrong and there's a simple trick to it, please let me know!

My company is a Workday partner. We're forced to use it internally for everything. It's absolute dogshit.

Every single timesheet recording app ever invented
SAP

CassieMaddox · 27/09/2024 15:10

I also really don't like share point. And a document tracking tool my old company used that seemed to manage to lose documents regularly so people would review old items/not be able to find versions. Regularly caused beef at work.
