To think pooing in the shower is disgusting

According to my DD who read an article somewhere, over 1 in 10 people poo in the shower! Can this actually be true? Aside from being disgusted by this, I am intrigued as to what happens to it afterwards. Surely it would take a lot of effect to get it down the plug hole? 🤣

OPs been gone a while. I expect they are having more fun reading than engaging. I’m not worried, I’m sure if things get a bit constipated here they’ll pop right in and get that blockage cleared, get the old bowels of this moving again.

SLeanne · 27/09/2024 16:30

I am still here. I have had a good laugh at some of these posts!

What a depraved thread title. I'm not sure which is worse: pooing in the shower or shitposting on MN.

My DD works in a sports centre, a poo in the men’s showers has been found more than once.
One of her friends also found a poo in her communal showers at university.

I’ve found poo in changing rooms more than once.

BoelBedmunds · 27/09/2024 16:42

I found a poo by the safeways toilet in west Kirby about 21 years ago.

Folk reading are having a good laugh… at us or with us 🤔 Maybe not laughing too much, it can be hard to do two things at once

SLeanne · 27/09/2024 16:55

It's blooming hilarious 😂

If they're shitting in the sinks in their bedrooms then it's easy to identify the culprit. I'd be leaving it there till they returned and making them remove it without gloves. Revolting.

Oh yes they knew who was doing it in the bedrooms. Unfortunately they were not allowed to just leave it there and they weren’t able to make them remove it.

MurdoMunro · 27/09/2024 17:23

So the man who did a poo in the sink knew the ladies (maybe he would say ‘girls’) who would have to clean it up knew who he was but were forced to do it anyway. Perfect. That’s one for the bank.

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 27/09/2024 17:27

Someone used to poo in the sink at my work. No one ever found out who it was.... even though the cubicle opened onto a busy stairwell.

Itsfridaytralala · 27/09/2024 17:39

Jesus Christ why did I click on this?
My neighbour told me her partner did it and used his toes to poke it down. Complete boke. One of those situations you find yourself chatting over a lager and then someone gets drunk and rather honest. Too honest. Every time you see them your brain thinks and that person pokes shit down the shower drain.
This isn't shower related but it reminds me of when in France on holiday someone shat in the pool and the staff went absolutely mental, there may as well have been air raid sirens. It's good they were on it but they looked manic. We were screamed at to leave the pool and they had a special net on a long pole. Bleach sprays at the ready and hoses. Quite magnificent how they handled the situation.
In the UK how long would it take for staff to realise 🤔? In Greece there was a massive log on the beach which I stepped over in time. It was very long. I hate poo.

My toddler did a giant poo in the shower once when we were camping. It was a very smelly and difficult process showering the toddlerpoo down the plughole, would not like to imagine how much worse a grown adults would be. Weirdos.

Why didn’t you pick it up and Chuck it in the loo?

MasterBeth · 27/09/2024 17:43

Of course IT HAPPENS. But of course IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO 10% OF PEOPLE.

BiscuitlyBoyle · 27/09/2024 17:44

I wondered why men took so long having a shit. It’s clearly because the are pushing down the drain.

Friend works in a posh hotel and says men regularly leave a turd in the shower. Sometimes they pop back to the room to 'accidentally' find her cleaning it up. Apparently it's a thing.

Please tell me it gets reported to management and these disgusting men get a lifetime ban from ever staying in that hotel (or hotel chain) ever again?

FictionalCharacter · 27/09/2024 17:15

Couldn't they get the person thrown off their course? Or at least evicted from the accommodation?

AlannaOfTrebond · 27/09/2024 18:55

I'm not sure about 10%, but it most definitely happens.

I used to work on a campsite for international students and finding shit in the showers was not a rare occurrence. It wasn't remnants that someone had tried to wash away either, they had been proudly and intentionally left for the next person to find.

Victoriancat · 27/09/2024 19:24

Oh my gosh I hope not, that's grim

I’m wondering what the post that’s just been deleted said? I didn’t think this thread could go much lower, but it obviously has…😂

I’m not really sure you can get much lower than ‘waffle stomping’ to be honest !!🤮

SoNiceToComeHomeTo · 27/09/2024 21:57

Hmph. Maybe your DD read this report https://waterfilterguru.com/american-showering-habits/ . They interviewed 1,000 Americans about their showering habits, but the report does not reveal where they found their participants. Perhaps they were an odd bunch... apparently 12% of them had also had a snack in the shower, which sounds equally messy. It is not statistically significant, anyway, so means almost nothing.

I'd rather run 100 meters on a Lego track than " waffle stomp " my own shit.

Maviz · 27/09/2024 22:06

Oh come on. You'd have to manually push it down the plug hole for a start unless you had diarrhoea.

A wee is just about acceptable but a poo, no.
