Did you know who Cat Deeley was before she joined This Morning?

When Cat Deeley became presenter of This Morning earlier this year I had not heard of her before, some of my friends are surprised that I did not know who she was. (We are all in our 40's by the way) I knew who Holly Willoughby was though.

Am I weird in never having heard of her before?

Of course! She was on SMTV with Ant and Dec!

I vaguely remember her on Stars in their Eyes.

When I was a young teen I had a magazine cut out pic of her blu tacked inside my wardrobe in hopes of taking on her body shape via some sort of subliminal osmosis! Her and about 30 others.

I knew her from SMTV live.
Even though I was a bit older than the demographic probably, I loved that show.

Yeah used to love her in smtv days, she went low profile for a while, think she moved to America or something

Only in passing, as I preferred to avoid the disgusting comments made by some males I am thankfully no longer in contact with regarding the outfits she'd wear on Saturday morning TV.

Yes, she was on SMTv and then went on to do quite well in the states. She was very famous in the uk in the early 00s I think. I am surprised you’ve never heard of her but I guess it depends what age you are.

No idea! I've had to google who she is. I only moved to the UK 20yrs ago though, so maybe I missed her earlier shows?

She's been working in the US for most of the past 20 years so it's not surprising that she'd have gone under your radar. She was proper UK famous before she went to LA though.

I remember her from 90’s magazines aimed at teens/young women. She had some great clothes. I can’t remember if I actually saw her on TV, but I probably did.

If you’re in your 40s then you’d be the right age to know who she was!
She did bits and bobs on various shows after smtv. Then moved to the USA. Would pop up now and again. I’m shocked you’ve never heard of her! That’s why she was chosen as she’s a key celeb for our age bracket.

I think if you are in your 40s you are probably slightly too old for SMTV? Unless you had a younger sibling.
But I do think its unusual you hadn't heard of her at all, eg from celeb magazines or other TV shows. Were your parents super strict on what you watched?
