I'm just staggered at the stories, staggered. I knew it was bad, but social workers treating good, caring parents like criminals, forcing the transition of gay kids, the damage to parents and their mental health, let alone the huge damage to children

it's hard to move on from this sort of thing, I am a parent, I can't believe most parents know how bad it is out there in our schools

Just listened to Episode 7 - Bad Education.
I am so ashamed of the schools who've unthinkingly transitioned children and promoted the alienation of children from their parents. Special condemnation goes to Ofsted, the DfE, the teaching unions and local authorities who have frankly abandoned children to some of the most unsuitable and least qualified adults in the world to influence child development.
As Stephanie Davies Arai (from Transgender Trend) pointed out in the episode - schools know how to deal with mentally vulnerable children with eating disorders, self harm, tics and the rest. Yet we've allowed schools to be de skilled and handed this vulnerable group of children over to the promoters of "of course you've been born in the wrong body but a sex change will fix you" .
Listening to those parents weeping for being called a bigot for trying to safeguard their children from this toxic ideology made me weep. The idea that schools have been used to promote this makes me despair.

The lunatics have taken over the asylum, is an easy, but true, idea of what’s happened

I can only compare it to outbreaks of anorexia where instead of help, we tell girls they really are fat.

Has anyone made it all the way through the podcast? The depth and the pain of the stories is astounding. How did the whole country become so captured with this horror show?

I've done 5 so far, but left out some bits of the parent interviews and got a bit confused at the episodic cast of characters and way it was structured.

Has this been picked up by any other news services? I have not seen enough coverage, shame - how about any of us send it to our MPs?

I'm part way through the third episode, I'm listening on my commute. It's shocking but at the same time not surprising. I work for the NHS and have to be careful what I say...

Or maybe bring it up at the next staff meeting!

it’s not on you to fight every battle but the more silent people are the worse this gets. We need to shine the light

It is a bit mixed - those parent voices are harrowing as well. The things parents have done because the experts told them it was that or a dead child

stunning

Some parents have been horrifically caught in the crossfires of all this. It is truly awful how badly they have been betrayed by the medics involved.

It takes some extraordinary courage to put together a podcast like this. A few of my friends have started listening and couldn't carry on, it's just too grim, and on the same level as Rochdale child abuse scandal which Julie draws parallels with. Episodes with David Bell, Hannah Barnes and Az Hakeem are excellent in their unforgiving clarity. More parents should listen to this, in particular parents with autistic or otherwise vulnerable/traumatised children should be very aware of what is really going on behind the scenes.
