To be so upset about the stories in Julie In Gender land?

I'm just staggered at the stories, staggered. I knew it was bad, but social workers treating good, caring parents like criminals, forcing the transition of gay kids, the damage to parents and their mental health, let alone the huge damage to children

it's hard to move on from this sort of thing, I am a parent, I can't believe most parents know how bad it is out there in our schools

Oh, so boring to talk about how parents have been bullied by state "professionals" into allowing their child to take experimental drugs that can cause harm!

I'm sure there are lots of parents on here who aren't aware of these issues. Forewarning these parents is important so they can act in their child's best interests.

Where did I say I was against child safeguarding? 😂 You'll pull your arm reaching that far. It's just a bit that because you don't feel you get enough traffic on your dedicated board to post in AIBU just for you all to discuss amongst yourselves (with the usual arsey jumping on anyone and throwing assumptions at them too) boring!

I'll respond to what I like thanks and tell OP she is BU if I want.

Where’s the child safeguarding board?

I think if anyone’s bored it’s the ones greeting about posting topics that aren’t about ‘cheeky fuckers’ or stuff that doesn’t belong on AIBU. Accounts for the majority of threads on this board. You must have a lot of time on your hands.

And if you’re telling the OP she’s being unreasonable then surely she’s on the right board.

It comes across to me that men's kinks and fetishes have come to the fore and infiltrated society.

Men have been fighting to invade women's/girl's spaces, have their fetishes normalised and groom children. Society has largely gone along with this and brought into gender ideology and gaslighting.

Children have been harmed. Women have been deplatformed, ostracized, fired, arrested, lost deals and contracts and silenced.

Madness.

Edited

It's very important for these men to force team with children confused about their identity.

Grouping them all under a 'trans' umbrella is immensely helpful for the men with fetishes and catastrophic for the poor children.

OP I’ve just listened to the first episode and found it deeply upsetting.

Like the families interviewed our daughter is autistic, when she was struggling with her mental health and sensory issues (she wore boys clothes & hair short) , a CAMHS mental heath nurse tried to explore ‘gender’ with her.

It never got as far as the situation those families found themselves in but my god , if you have a child needing mental health services and social work support the child is at rock bottom, putting gender ideas into the child’s head then saying the parents are the problem, well I don’t have words I can use on here without being banned, to describe how I feel about that.

Autistic girls are not boys ffs 😡

My son is autistic. He has been affirmed as trans by the local pressure groups and the other parent. I feel like I am living in an upside down world.

Agreed, I’ve been aware of these issues for ages so when my own autistic daughter was questioned we’d already talked about gender and how wearing certain clothes and liking certain things doesn’t make you a boy.

Now waiting for the activists to tell me that , either,

  1. my daughter isn’t trans otherwise she’d ‘know’ she’s a boy ; or,
  2. I have a son and I’m the problem

I’ve been told both !

No child is born wrong.

This is the only mumsnet board I read, and I’m not sure what other board you’re talking about, but just followed the link and it’s terrifying. Everyone should be more aware of this stuff, not just people who know what to look for.

Dumbledoreslemonsherbets · 11/09/2024 13:45

It's clear the 'professionals' acting as described in this podcast either haven't read, haven't understood or are deliberately flouting the principles in 'Working Together to Safeguard Children' which is statutory guidance they should have read as a requirement of their job.

Behaving against statutory safeguarding advice should be a sackable offence but they've been encouraged to behave in this way, seemingly. And families and children have been harmed.

OP what is being done to autistic young people is terrible. Have you found any support? I think Bayswater Support might be able to help you.

BigJean · 11/09/2024 13:45

Some of these parents - previously mentally healthy - were driven to thoughts of suicide by these 'professionals'. This is NOT in the child's best interest. It's obvious that they were deliberately causing family breakdown.

To be honest this is a failing full stop with all services involved with children for many reasons.

My brother’s autistic daughter has, over the years, been through ASD assessments, eating disorder, gender issues, really difficult behaviour. All support services (CAMHS, a LA behavioural support worker, SENCO + teachers and more) have blamed her parents throughout, leaving them both traumatised and unwilling to approach anyone for help ever again. The “work” they have done to support DN has only made things worse.

Bayswater and the local support groups yes thank you. You feel like a pariah, you can’t talk to any other parents, friends, nobody - because if you do you’re a nazi

To clarify (I left out the part relevant to this thread!) I think there is a huge amount of rot in all these services and organisations working with children, and there’s a huge amount of distrust towards parents, and a superiority amongst many workers moving in to save these poor children, when in reality most parents are simply trying their best in very difficult circumstances.

In my experience they also tend to be people who don’t really question guidelines, which explains how we have arrived in this situation in the first place. This is not meant as a criticism at all, but I can see how easily big organisations have fallen for gender ideology without even blinking.

What’s that Latin quote “quis custodiet ipsos custodes?” - who guards the guards? Who is passing this dangerous ideology off as inclusive and great for children, and why are so many mindlessly going along with it. Human nature, and so many people’s unquestioning natures being taken advantage of.

That's a very good question and my answer is that it crept in through the back door of 'tolerance'.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 11/09/2024 14:05

Worth remembering this is a male led ideology that has been allowed to influence all our institutions using intimidation and bullying to enforce the lie that sex change is possible & desirable. And to gaslight a generation of often mentally vulnerable children, many of who are now mutilating their bodies and harming their minds in a desperate attempt to "change sex".

The failure of the trusted adults in the NHS, schools, social care, psychology etc to safeguard children and young people from this lie is unforgivable.

Well done to Julie for making this chilling series and exposing the grim reality of what's happening.

The activist NGO sector have been laying the groundwork on this for years. How much influence have stonewall, mermaids and similar had here over the years.

A big issue is that all these orgs have mistaken advocacy for expertise

The attempts to silence debate on this issue have always concerned me. What motives could anyone have to try to silence or suppress debate on an issue which is of paramount importance to the trans and the non-trans populations?

A very interesting question

I don't support anything? Stop reaching FGS.
Op is not genuinely asking if she is BU about anything, she wants to discuss a topic that has a dedicated board so the rest of us can enjoy reading about cheeky fuckers and actually AIBUs.

Did you stumble onto the thread? What made you by pass 'cheeky fuckers and AIBUs' that you need to read

I used to scoff at people implying this - but every time someone involved in this cult is busted for being a paedophile, it seems more and more like there is real links. Why are people not looking harder?

Is it the same reason Prince Andrew got away with all this for so long?
