To be so upset about the stories in Julie In Gender land?

I'm just staggered at the stories, staggered. I knew it was bad, but social workers treating good, caring parents like criminals, forcing the transition of gay kids, the damage to parents and their mental health, let alone the huge damage to children

it's hard to move on from this sort of thing, I am a parent, I can't believe most parents know how bad it is out there in our schools

I listened to 4 of them today and had to have a break.

The one with the parents saying how guilty they felt made me cry.

The whole thing is absolutely horrifying.

They’re all awful. More people need to hear all this, conversations at the school gate, parents WhatsApp groups, the insanity must end should enough people know about all this

What surprised me about all of the people that have fallen for this nonsense - politicians included - is that did they not have a little think to themselves before forming a view? Did they just decide to spout whatever bonded someone told them to without bothering to engage their brain first?

Glad to see the Scottish government showing so many other governments how to be unbelievably thick.

I think there is some horrific stuff going on, yes. And you probably wouldn't know until you're in the thick of it. But I would have thought/hope that not all social workers are like this, so it's more if you are unlucky enough to get an activist.

The problem is the capture is coming from the top down, so even if there are individual social workers they are vulnerable to cancellation and job loss.

There have already been several cases, and I donated to one crowdfund for a social workers court case just recently.
I am embarassed to say I've forgotten her name, there have been so many court cases, but others here hopefully will remind me.

Possibly Lizzie Pitt. The council capitulated on the first day of court. Shocking to put her through it all. www.crowdjustice.com/case/cambs-county-council-discrimin/

Was it Rachel Meade?

Darn it. Linked to the crowdfunder which got me deleted. It was possibly Lizzie Pitt who took Cambridgeshire County Council to court. They capitulated on the first day. Shocking that she had to wait so long for it to be resolved.

Was it Rachel Meade? Who won her case and there was significant criticism of Westminster Council - who I think acknowledged their faults - and Social Work England - who failed completely to acknowledge any fault?
Given that SWE are the regulator it's terrifying for individual social workers as they know their regulator is completely in the pocket of trans extremist groups so they could be sanctioned if they try to safeguard children from this belief..

Yes thank you for the reminder, it was Rachel Meade.
It is outrageous and SWE are a disgrace.

@spannasaurus Yes, thank you.

RaspberryParade · 11/09/2024 21:20

@Lovelyview I've just been reminded it was Rachel Meade, but yes Lizzy Pitt is another, and I'm certain there are more.

It’s amazing that the whistleblowing legislation didn’t protect these brave people who stood up for children , that’s precisely what it’s designed for. It just demonstrates how entrenched this ideology is.

Attitudes to whistle blowers are very interesting (and concerning).

We are tribal animals - these days more than ever. There is clearly immense discomfort when people go against the tribe.

A slightly different point, but see for instance, the treatment of Glinner by his peers/former friends.

Yes - and the once respected NSPCC who when told that they had a member of staff wearing rubber fetish gear in the work place toilets and positing grim photos online, called those reporting him homophobic bigots! That's when I realised how deeply so many porn soaked men had been able to influence society's care for children. (see also Girl Guides, Mermaids, Educate & Celebrate and countless other organisations "working with" schools and children)

TheKeatingFive · 11/09/2024 22:18

And then things like this, which I have read several times now and cannot quite compute that this is happening in plain sight. Read the whole thread for all the disturbing detail.

Trust me, if anyone comes back and tells me this is misinformation or I have the wrong end of the stick, I will be immensely relieved.

The 1984, ignore the evidence of your own eyes parallels are too easy to make but they ARE TRUE

children are suffering and dying because those in power look the other way out of fear of being branded a bigot.

yes. Public image is more important than children’s lives.

the man is a prick but the only politician who called out this madness front and centre was Farage. He can’t be the poster boy for this. Where are the rest?

Well it happened under a Tory government, but Kemi Badenoch is red hot on this topic.

Both the main contenders for head of equalities committee are true believers from the twaw belief system, though Wes Streeting is plainly not.

I’m not a tory. I am hoping Kemi wins and highlights this obvious failure in the labour policy.

how the hell can a woman think a man is a woman?

My son is autistic. He has been affirmed as trans by the local pressure groups and the other parent. I feel like I am living in an upside down world.

Same, only a daughter.

Yes you're right it is Orwell meets McCarthy

And indoctrination of next generation won't help

All underpinned by bad legislation

What will change it?

One thing that would change this is publicity. If the Press made schools, local authorities the OU, the Girl Guides etc account for why they've given born males with extreme porn, flashing, nappy & kink fetishes access to children things would change,
There's a very grim story to be told about the nature of some of the individuals who're involved in this repeated erosion of safeguarding and children's boundaries. Maybe Julie could make that the focus of her next podcast?

TorghunKhan · 12/09/2024 08:20

I just don’t know how much more publicity this could get

Either people don’t believe it or they don’t care?

It's awful but I agree somewhat

Publicity won't change it. Imo it would take a big political shift that will probably come off the back of something else

Roystonv · 12/09/2024 09:03

Two things - I hate to think of the money used in so many places to comply with/support the trans agenda/brain washing. Money we now could desperately do with to support everyday basic needs in our communities. Then the amount of precious time wasted on using 'being in the wrong body' to cure children of their problems. Again what opportunities were missed. It gave every working in that field an opt out (not one all agreed with) instead of verified intervention.
