Feral children

Several children, have been arrested in connection with the death of an 80 year old dog walker.

What is wrong with children today? I remember the Bulger case and it sent shockwaves around the world, now people just accept that children kill.

Jesus Christ, that poor man. The kids' parents must be so proud. What is the world coming to?

Thedogscollar · 03/09/2024 19:09

I've just seen this on the news. Absolutely horrendous fgs what is happening in this world when an 80 yr old man walking his dog is assaulted and murdered by a bunch of kids.
I hope they put them all away for a very very long time.

NotSmallButFunSize · 03/09/2024 19:11

This is near where I live, it's disgusting 😔

Should be charging their "parents" with something too - using the word as loosely as possible, absolutely fuck all parenting been done here clearly.

stinkydoveproducts · 03/09/2024 19:11

It's truly awful. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I wonder if any of the parents are openly racist and condone such attacks, particularly in light of the recent riots.

shellyleppard · 03/09/2024 19:11

He was feet away from his front door.....the poor man. Its just horrific what happened to him

Jillybloop393 · 03/09/2024 19:12

Sick, vile .... I'm shocked beyond belief. They should be locked away and never released. I bet a few years down the line they'll be given new identities and new lives - and will probably commit similar atrocious crimes. I don't suppose many will agree with me, but I can't bear this sort of thing. That poor old man 😞

It's terrible, not that far from me although I don't know the actual area it happened, I was shocked to hear something like that had happened in Leicester. It does seem like this sort of thing involving such young teens is getting far more common. Can't imagine what his family are going through, how do you come to terms with something like that?

Don't know. I was just wondering.

Miley1967 · 03/09/2024 19:13

Horrendous. An area I visit frequently as part of my work and close to where I work. So upsetting.

Paisleydad · 03/09/2024 19:14

I was discussing the murder of the 13yo in Oldbury with my ex earlier. It looks as though a pair of teenagers have entered the 13yo's home and stabbed him to death.

The children involved appear to have no fear or concept of the outcome for themselves let alone the victim or their family and friends.

I can't grasp the thought process (or lack of thought process).

I just read about this. Don't even know where to start to be honest.

Newpillow · 03/09/2024 19:16

I don't know what's happening to the world in general tbh- a complete breakdown of society.

This area is not predominantly people of Asian origin like most of eastern Leicester is. This is west Leicester.

DeepLimeBird · 03/09/2024 19:18

This is absolutely outrageous. That poor man, to get to that age and lose your life in such a horrendous way.

soupfiend · 03/09/2024 19:18

I dont understand the comment about racism, is the victim black or asian?

Horrific story. Frightening. Ive been trying to walk more for exercise and never know what I'll come up against

I think Leicester seems to be getting worse, probably like most major cities. there have been a number of stabbings recently in the Narborough road area/ west end by youths .

Yes the elderly victim was asian. I guess people are wondering whether racially motivated attack. Police also reporting themselves so I suspect maybe he had made previous complaints perhaps about the same kids or there had been incidents before ? So awful.

PinkyFlamingo · 03/09/2024 19:20

It won't be long before someone comes along bleating about these kids being victims of their upbringing etc, with phrases like "of course I feel.sorry for the victims family but these are only children, what has gone wrong in their lives" etc etc. Nauseating.

The poor victim was an 80 year old man originally from India, who had lived in the UK for many years.
It's horrific, and I agree that the parents should charged, although I'm not sure quite with what.

Firefly1987 · 03/09/2024 19:22

3 of the kids are girls as well, which I was not expecting.

Edited

I didnt see that in the article

Awful either way, whatever the reason, or no reason actually

coxesorangepippin · 03/09/2024 19:23

The parents should be prosecuted

If you work with children you wouldnt be surprised at this. Im more surprised that people are surprised at violence from girls.
