Just seen a WhatsApp chat (showed to me by DP) where I have been referred to by one of his friends as a MILF.... I'm fucking fuming. Trying not to overreact but the bloody cheek...
Personally I find this dismissive and insulting but didn't think I would be quite this angry. Happy to be told I'm overreacting but not sure I can let this slide!

Ok so I chatted to dh about this and no, men don’t talk like this, at least not adult professional men. He works with a lot of ex army guys and they don’t talk like this.

There was a survey done across a number of schools 80% of girls said unwanted sexual comments happened, and 92% sexist name calling. I assume you would tell these girls to chill @10AngelO and not be bothered that your son might be involved.

The crap that girls have to put up with in school is excused by boys as banter. These boys grow up thinking banter and disrespecting women is fine. Do you think they suddenly stop when they leave school?

I agree with most of what you've said. I remember the days when men weren't scared to wolf whistle at women - it always gave me a little lift when that happened. I never once felt in any way disrespected or offended.
