That women should not have to share changing rooms with men

This is absolutely horrific and probably the first of many cases we will see now. Please read the article in full but this alone is appalling. The response by their HR should be noted because that is what is going to happen to every woman who complains about this if we keep allowing these fraudulent men to get away with what they want.

One of the nurses told The Mail on Sunday: 'We don't feel safe because we strip down to our underwear and [the individual] doesn't just stay by his locker. 'He walks around the changing room in his boxer shorts.'
Another nurse said she was 'close to tears' during one incident in the changing room.
She said: 'I was rummaging in my bag trying to find my lanyard and keys for the locker when a man's voice behind me said, 'Are you not getting changed yet?' 'I found my keys and opened my locker and I was asked again, 'Are you not getting changed yet?'.'
The woman, who was sexually abused as a child, has posttraumatic stress disorder and struggles to be alone around men. She said: 'He stood there, two metres away from me, with a scrub top on and with tight black boxer shorts with holes in them and asked a third time whether I was getting changed yet.
'Flight or fight mode kicked in but I felt glued to my seat, I could not move. 'My hands started to sweat. I was petrified and felt sick and began hyperventilating.'
In March, 26 nurses wrote to management saying that the transgender nurse 'has made no secret' of the fact that 'he has stopped taking female hormones and is trying to inseminate his female partner'.
AIBU to suggest NOW is the time to wake up, en masse and stop allowing BE KIND to be a mantra that allows predatory men access to women at their most vulnerable.

As soon as Labour let men ‘self id’ (by the back door) as women, there is no guarantee of any single biological sex anything.

In fact women as we know them cease to exist. Because according to Labour some women have penises and anyone with a penis could legally call themselves a woman.

So men (legally calling themselves a woman) could enter any sports competition , any changing room with little girls , any domestic violence refuge, any rape help centre, any beauty salon, any toilets, any intimate care, and women’s work awards, etc. Any biological female space.

All crime statistics referring to biological sex would be meaningless. Any statistics referring to biological sex would be meaningless.

Girls colleges, schools, health care, swimming sessions, yoga anything only for women wouldn’t exist anymore.

And we (the old fashioned cunty women) would not be able to challenge the men pretending to be women, legally.

We would be the problem as far as Labour are concerned. Horrific.

@Bunnyasmyname

Oh yes if a member of staff is what you request. If not. Wait til next skift and try your luck.

Women are 51% of the population. There is absolutely no reason why they couldn't be made available for a raft like intimate care.

TheKeatingFive · 26/05/2024 19:47

Task like intimate care

makeanddo · 26/05/2024 19:51

Please understand 'same sex care' is not what is needed.

You need to say 'same biological sex care'.

A GRC, soon to be very easy to get and a bargain at £5, means the man's legal sex is female. A predators dream.

Labour think they are clever with their 'same sex' narrative but WE SEE YOU.

Their plans for Self ID via GP or Dr looking concerning

Its grossly dishonest

For there to even be such a category as 'legal sex' that can be different to biological will be news to most sane people

CranfordScones · 26/05/2024 19:57

Of course the other solution would be to subvert the trans ideology completely. How?

There's no reason why changing rooms should be designated as 'men' and 'women'.

We could cure this problem at a stroke by designating them as rooms for 'penis havers' and 'non-penis havers'.

And why stop at changing rooms? We could do it for prisons too. Let's see how many of the gender cosplay hobbyists are really committed to the anatomy of their chosen gender.

Can you imagine the dissonance that would arouse in the minds of the ideologically captured?

What training would GPs even be given to equip them for this? 😵‍💫

There is no chance it will be adequate

It may be another medic in the end but if it is GPs it’s pretty much Self ID

Unfortunately they may well let women know who is responsible for the decision after the GE

Oh goodie, a fresh new take.

Of course YANBU, but YABU to start precisely the seventeen zillionth thread on this issue.

We will be starting thread after thread to highlight every single incident of male feelings being prioritised over female needs. We're told it doesn't happen. We're told women don't mind sharing spaces with transwomen when that's clearly not true.

We. Will. Not. Stop. Until female safety dignity and privacy is restored.

Training? No it’ll be GPs online taking the consultation cash and signing it off. Just as happens with sick notes. These will be ‘I’m a biological woman notes’.

Hence I think the only option might be as pp said above- penis havers, and everyone else.

*I imagine there will be a ‘trans woman’ gp or two, gleefully signing these notes off.

Regardless of which party is in situ, how do women turn the tide on this in greater numbers?
For a start women need to educate themselves and get over to the feminist boards. It's not about waiting for the shit governments, whoever is in, to do it for us. If your daughter's future safety means anything to you, you owe it to her to properly look at this issue. Why more threads aren't being fired out on to AIBU and Chat I don't know.

Maybe others can't put some other helpful links in this thread for women reading for the first time who need support. The horrors of self ID do and will affect many areas of a woman and girls life. This is why multiple threads must be allowed - are women being unreasonable to be shouting at the top of our voices about this?

Regarding women's safety - read up on Edinburgh Rape Crisis. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13458273/Edinburgh-Rape-Crisis-Centre-trans-row-employment-case.html

Then look at the literature provided by women's groups

Regarding children:
Cass Review - read it, understand what is being said there and check if your local school is using dodgy diversity materials from groups like LGBT Youth. Scotland are ignoring the recommendations. This can't go on.

A hospital is not staffed by one sex.

Breast screening is meant to be staffed by only the female sex. Hth

PonyPatter44 · 26/05/2024 20:23

I don't know whether this is undermining the message, but there are NO male sex offenders held in the women's prison estate. The rules were changed in February 2023 (on the back of some excellent campaigning and awareness raising by KPSS). Transwomen charged with or convicted of violent or sexual offences will automatically go to the male estate. Transwomen who have been charged with a nonviolent, non-sexual offence will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and will generally go to male prisons anyway because...they're men.

This didn't come about through government diktat, but by some forthright policy writing in the MoJ.

Women are 51% of the population. There is absolutely no reason why they couldn't be made available for a raft like intimate care.

My Trust has a chaperone policy that says you are entitled to a chaperone of the same self-identified gender as you. That is the exact phrase, self identified gender. So any male nurse who identifies as female could be allocated to be a woman's chaperone. Or any male patient identifying as a woman can request a female chaperone and effectively force a female member of staff to witness his intimate examination.

And saying 'ha you'll be lucky to get any member of staff' isn't good enough, the NHS has majority female staff in roles usually used for chaperones, i.e. nurses and HCAs. The only reason a woman will get a male with gender identity as a 'same gender' chaperone is because the Trust puts the self ID of the male staff member above the privacy, dignity, safety or wishes of female patients.

Exactly

And how did we get to this? I still cannot fathom it.

Are you serious??
Aside from it not being like a railway station where you can just pick and choose when you go and be seen, why the hell should she!

As a woman, we have the right to be seen by women for intimate care. To suggest we wait in line until a man with a fetish isn't on shift is appalling.

As I am sure you can imagine, past behaviour tells us that any GP who says no would be called a transphobic nazi and hounded.

Votersswing · 26/05/2024 21:18

@WandsOut

It's because it's complicated and people don't get it like the post office scandal. It's been bubbling away for years and brexit, covid, col crisis, Ukraine etc dominate our airways.

I mostly ignored the threads about jk Rowling on here until one day something drew my interest in and I was educated. If I wasn't on mn I would have no idea...

My Co workers have absolutely no idea, my female friends have no idea at all...

Which is why we do need threads and someone for speak out clearly about it.

The NHS has gone utterly mad. I'm disgusted and as someone with pcos, excess hair etc I had no support at all.

Sure. I'm just interested if there is any kind of attempt to present this as something other than self id by the back door
