Or at least, for the love of sweet baby Jesus and all his chickens, read the OP's posts?

Especially if it's a long thread which may, you know, have moved on a little since the first post?

If you're so lazy and unengaged that you can't be arsed to check whether the OP of eg: a 200+ post thread in Relationships has added anything or updated their situation, why not just consider scrolling on by?

Cheers.

YANBU

TheGrimSqueakersFlea · 08/05/2024 11:13

Were the chickens a gift or did they already live there?

People often ask questions when the answer is in the op. Usually asking how old a child is

PhuckyNell · 08/05/2024 11:14

No! You can't tame me 😂

Iloveshihtzus · 08/05/2024 11:16

I am the person who responds to the person on page 20 of a thread asking them to please RTFT or at least all the OP’s posts before they offer their wisdom 🙄.

NotTerfNorCis · 08/05/2024 11:16

YABU to expect someone to read an entire thread if someone wants to respond directly to the OP.

YANBU to expect someone to read the OP's posts properly.

StandingOvulation · 08/05/2024 11:18

It's sheer unbridled arrogance.

DecayedStrumpet · 08/05/2024 11:19

YANBU but should cancel the cheque 👍

Delia123 · 08/05/2024 11:20

Tell me more about the chickens.

Delia123 · 08/05/2024 11:21

I get really annoyed with people who focus on irrelevant minutiae.

OfMiceandWomen · 08/05/2024 11:21

If I go on a thread with a lot of posts I always click on Read All and you then see what has been posted by the OP

NeverEnoughPants · 08/05/2024 11:21

Honestly, you deserve better. LTB.

CwmYoy · 08/05/2024 11:23

Were you the OW?

AnnieBuddyHere · 08/05/2024 11:24

Now it makes sense why Mumsnetters can feed a family of 12 for a week on one chicken 🐓

They’re Jesus’ chickens aren’t they?

Blarn · 08/05/2024 11:24

Has anyone asked OP about the Jesus chickens? I'm intrigued.

TheGrimSqueakersFlea · 08/05/2024 11:24

@AnnieBuddyHere chicken messiah

Compash · 08/05/2024 11:24

Well if I were you, I would strongly advise people to read the full thread before posting... 😏

vodkaredbullgirl · 08/05/2024 11:25

Thanks for reminding me mum 😁

AnnieBuddyHere · 08/05/2024 11:25

TheGrimSqueakersFlea · 08/05/2024 11:24

@AnnieBuddyHere chicken messiah

Chicken tikka messiah 😂

Soigneur · 08/05/2024 11:26

They don't even read the OP before spaffing their tripe. Try posting about a child in year 8 and watch how many have such poor reading attention they immediately respond with some irrelevant dross about 8 year olds.

JulianFawcettMP · 08/05/2024 11:27

Also there is no need to quote the entirety of a lengthy OP. We know who you are replying to!

This!

If i'm responding to a question to the OP which is asking my opinion - why do i need to read through 20 pages of other people's answers!?

I love this Grin > misses point of thread <

Babadook76 · 08/05/2024 11:28

This fucked me right off yesterday. I’d can’t for the life of me remember what thread it was, but it was a short op of only a few sentences, and only 4 or 5 replies in was someone asking a question in a horribly sanctimonious tone which was literally in the op’s first sentence. She did quote herself a couple of minutes later saying ‘oh yeh it’s in the op’, but it shows how fucking thick and horrible some people are, that they can’t even take 10 seconds to grasp a simple sentence before writing a bitchy comment as fast as they can just so they can quickly get a nasty reply in
