For some strange reason it was put about yesterday that Susan Hall might have won, or that it was very close.

Wishful thinking on someone's part!

It's a Trumpian tactic - say you've won and then when you don't, say it's all a fix, we was robbed etc. Very stupid people will believe it, as they do all conspiracy theories.

murasaki · 04/05/2024 13:53

It's looking that way so far, even west London went for him which was Tory last time.

Shetlands · 04/05/2024 13:53

He'll win it - Prof John Curtice and 'Labour sources' are calling it for Khan.🌹

Comedycook · 04/05/2024 13:55

He will win.

What where the Tories thinking putting up that dreadful woman ..she doesn't stand a chance

neverbeenskiing · 04/05/2024 13:56

She doesn't stand a chance. Thankfully. The woman is an absolute loon.

murasaki · 04/05/2024 13:58

Well she wasn't their first choice! The first one had to stand down for being a sex pest. Allegedly.

Bollindger · 04/05/2024 13:59

The fact that your worried a Tory could win it shows you know that something is very wrong in the world, when A Labour Govenment looks like it will soon get in.
I think all parties are crap at the moment, we all know it. Hence time for a change...

CroftonWillow · 04/05/2024 14:00

Oh goodie.

LBFseBrom · 04/05/2024 14:02

I hope he does but we don't know yet.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/05/2024 14:11

We don't know but 4 of 14 constituencies have declared, all for SK. Looking very likely he'll win.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/05/2024 14:13

5/14 now. Two have swung from Tory to Labour this time.

Needmorelego · 04/05/2024 14:14

The last news I read is he is in the lead.
Apparently the turnout for voting was 40%.
Pretty pathetic really. There may have been a few genuine times people were turned away due to lack of correct ID but really less than half of the population of London couldn't be arsed 🙁

Renamed · 04/05/2024 14:16

There is no feasible way he hasn’t won.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/05/2024 14:22

Result not expected till about 5pm according to BBC. GLA results still being counted?

urbanbuddha · 04/05/2024 14:32

He’s won in West Central - a gain - so I think he’s safely back. I don’t doubt the Tories will do better in outer London but I expect the loony tune parties will have eaten into Hall’s possible support.

Colourofspring · 04/05/2024 14:34

It’s sounding like hes won thank god! That woman is a total racist.

I’d have loved it if Count binface got more votes than she did 😅

Westfacing · 04/05/2024 14:36

Goes to show how rumours/spin are thrown into the mix, and the press then go with it.

Twenty four hours ago all the news outlets reported that Hall had closed the gap and might even have won!

Cheepcheepcheep · 04/05/2024 14:38

I reckon the rumour was put out by the tories who want rid of Sunak, they were setting the expectations high so Khan winning looks like more of a blow.

I was worried about the ULEZ coming to bite him but fingers crossed that’s looking less likely now.

avocadotoaster · 04/05/2024 14:39

Thank goodness for that.

Needmorelego · 04/05/2024 14:39

@Colourofspring I was very tempted by Binface....(but the small sensible bit inside me said not to 🙁).

Longcovider · 04/05/2024 14:40

Thank god

Colourofspring · 04/05/2024 14:42

I particularly liked his proposal to use falcons to defeat seagulls 😂

ConflictedCheetah · 04/05/2024 14:48

I see Bexley and Bromley has gone to Hall which isn't a surprise - it's vehemently anti-Ulez (we live in a neighbouring borough, on the border).

Colourofspring · 04/05/2024 14:52

BBC has called it for Sadiq Khan

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 04/05/2024 14:57

It will be interesting to see what my borough does - huge amount of hatred for ulez / him here (another outer borough)
