I’ve woken up to lightly matted hair again and I find myself thinking that I don’t have the time to detangle this bird nest every time. Do I do I need a sex-hat? Is that even a thing?! How do other people avoid the nest of shame?

Can't see the harm. Or maybe a silk pillow case especially for jiggy. Saves saying, 'hang on while i put my hat on' and him asking his mates if it's normal all perplexed.

I find choice of position is important here.

Silk pillow case or bonnet as used by those who want to protect their hairstyle.

Different position. And time. More time together will almost certainly reduce this issue.
