70s bush envy

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:34

Is it just me or does anyone else have bush envy? Yes I mean pubic hair bush. I swear I have alopecia down there. I would love a big soft bush. Apparently you can get a bush wig which I'd seriously consider.

(Dear Aston University - stick that in your pipe)

Nope. It’s just grim. Taking care of yourself is important.

JamSandle · 24/04/2024 11:36

I think it was such an easier time in terms of the norm not being shaved or waved to within an inch of your life at all times!

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:36

Apparently you can get one made with 'real hair', this is a bit too far, even for me! I'm also a bit bummed I can't even do this as a side hustle if I tried owing to my pubic hair alopecia!

Taking care of yourself - IMO that means leaving your pubes where they intended to be so that they can perform their function.
Not traumatising the area by yanking them out or whatever.

How is having public hair not taking care of yourself?

I find this a really interesting response, so 'taking care of yourself' equates to grooming down there?

Yanbu if that’s what you want. I prefer to keep mine to a minimum (it’s still there 😂 just short and neat!!).
How would a wig fit? With a head wig it adheres in a way that’s ergonomic, with a vaj wig gravity would defy it!

Having a bush isn't taking care of yourself? How so?

PurpleBugz · 24/04/2024 11:40

YANBU.

People always make the hygiene argument but I think you can wash and keep yourself clean regardless of hair.

I've always felt it's gross. You have no hair pre puberty. Prepubescent should not be considered sexy it should be an utter turn off

I'm assuming a special type of glue?

Oh yes, a mighty bush trim is a tonic for all ailments.

Redherringgull · 24/04/2024 11:41

I love my bush! Sometimes I trim it short but my vulva ends up being really irritated for weeks.

I'd laser away the hair on my bikini line if I could, but I'm keeping the hedge, thankyouverymuch.

Having pubic hair isn't 'not taking care of yourself' and it's not 'grim'. It's normal and healthy and perfectly hygienic. Remove it if you prefer, but don't tell other women there's something wrong with having a normal adult body.

I shave my armpits but I wouldn't call it 'taking care of myself' and I wouldn't think it was 'grim' if someone decided not to.

It’s actually more harmful to remove it. It’s meant to be there, so you would be taking better care of yourself to leave it.

Personally, I also find the no hair look a bit strange. But then of course I would because of my busy envy 😁

I’ve got a bush. I do remove the hair around my bikini line in the summer but that’s it. It would be a massive turnoff to me if DH had a problem with it, and it’s no one else’s business.

'I'm keeping the hedge' 😂

I have found over the years my bikini line has been exfoliated away from my pants edge. Ironically I have big curly hair on my head but the hair follicles ran out on the rest of my body.

Taking care of yourself is indeed important.

I take care of myself by drinking a big mug of tea while snuggled up in bed combing my big 70s bush

Hygiene-wise, it makes no difference. It's no more unhygienic than having hair on your head.

In terms of public hair maintenance - I wonder whether there's a difference depending upon whether you are in a same sex or different sex relationship 🤔

Nope I think it’s vile, just my opinion but I personally like to be hair free, that goes for my DH as well, no one wants a mouth full of pubes 🤢

Even if it's fluffy? It's like a cushion when your doing your conjugal duties and need a rest 😁
