70s bush envy

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:34

Is it just me or does anyone else have bush envy? Yes I mean pubic hair bush. I swear I have alopecia down there. I would love a big soft bush. Apparently you can get a bush wig which I'd seriously consider.

(Dear Aston University - stick that in your pipe)

I removed mine for several years and it felt better for sex, but worse for everything else - the hair prevented chafing, wicked away moisture and just generally provided a protective function keeping my vulva healthier. Eventually I braved the itching and grew it all back with no regrets.

Like the OP, I do kind of yearn for more abundant hair. I tried growing out my armpit hair, but it was pathetic and like a teenage boy's straggly feeble attempt at a beard, and It didn't make much difference to comfort either way, so I went back to shaving it off. It is handy to know if I'm feeling lazy that I can leave it for several months and still just have a barely noticeable wisp of pale hair.

I find it just a weird fashion and I hope the bush returns . Why is looking like a child more sexy .

menohnopausal · 24/04/2024 11:51

People seem to have such strong opinions about other people's pubic hair! I really don't think it's "gross" to be a baldy, or "vile" to have a big muff. It's really all fine! Each to their own and all that. No need for shaming.

OceanicBoundlessness · 24/04/2024 11:51

I'm quite envious of the people with big red bushes with googly eyes.

Or is that Merkins? I get muddled up.

Previous jobs which meant I worked in sexual health and there was a general consensus amongst professionals that hair removal was correlated with a lot of gynae issues. This of course would make sense given its purpose.

The fact you think adult fully formed genitalia with the hair removed, resembles a child, is gross.

wtf is wrong with you.

I think you're thinking of Mick Hucknall.

Nope. It’s just grim. Taking care of yourself is important.

I have a lovely 70s bush and take very good care of myself.

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:55

@JeysusH

Well you can now walk around proud that people like me exist that are quite envious of your bush 😁

I’m disappointed- I came here to reminisce about the laurel hedging at the front of my childhood home in the 70’s.

bossybloss · 24/04/2024 11:56

Has anyone had pop up adverts for Dunelm RUGS!!!!!

JeysusH · 24/04/2024 11:56

Muddywalks34 · 24/04/2024 11:48

Nope I think it’s vile, just my opinion but I personally like to be hair free, that goes for my DH as well, no one wants a mouth full of pubes 🤢

Is it not like velcro though if you're both a bit stubbly?

In terms of public hair maintenance - I wonder whether there's a difference depending upon whether you are in a same sex or different sex relationship 🤔

It's not.
Almost every lesbian I know is hairless.
I go between bald and bushy, my partner is always trimmed.

That said I've been with men and women and if you are getting a mouth full of hair you might be doing it wrong

There is no bush discrimination here 😁

Bushes literally come in all shapes and sizes 😁

It my birthday today, and that's the best birthday present I could have hoped for!

Thanks!

I find this a really interesting response, so 'taking care of yourself' equates to grooming down there?

I find it odd too. I see nothing wrong with having natural public hair.

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 11:59

@Josette77

Thank god you said that! I was wondering about how you'd end up with a mouth full of hair? Sure a few errand ones occur, but you just remove them and carry on right 😁

@Muddywalks34 totally agree. Trimmed as a minimum but prefer to wax. Hate loads of hair!

Grim?

Pubic hair is bad, ugly and/or depressing?

🤣🤣

I came on because I thought it was my neighbour posting. Number 70 have got a lovely suffruticosa buxus and I've often seen the lady from 68 (they've paved over their front garden since their DS learned to drive, and they need three spaces) lingering nearby with a look of envy.

OhmygodDont · 24/04/2024 12:02

I couldn’t envision myself with one. Maybe when I’m grey and old and don’t have the flex to reach it 😂

Strangely my daughter doesn’t shave her armpits but my son does now that’s a funny one.

Sparklybutold · 24/04/2024 12:02

@5128gap

No bush discrimination here - share away 😁
