For DH to insist on vaginal birth not ceasarean

Asking for a friend. Why would he care either way? She has a low pain tolerance and doesn't want to experience the most painful thing that can happen to a woman.

EDIT: He's absolutely lovely and basically a perfect partner in every conceivable way, which is why it's slightly out of character.

C section certainly wasn't "major trauma" for me. It was a wonderful experience, uncomplicated and very non-traumatic in every way. Of course it can be traumatic. And so can vaginal birth.

Yep, my c-section was great. Absolutely the best decision for me and DC.

Because choosing major surgery as a way to deliver a healthy baby, when you are perfectly capable to birth naturally, is bonkers! If it were a cake walk, then why do we have so many women complaining of the difficulties post csections? Don’t pretend like it’s not major trauma! Csections should be kept for what they were initially Intended for: life saving procedures.

You don't even sound like you could be trusted to give an opinion on what bog roll to buy.

Bog roll? Pah. Just use leaves like Nature intended.

@thebestinterest My sections weren't traumatic at all... they were brilliant. Vaginal birth would have been VERY traumatic for me. Being pregnant knowing that was coming would have been traumatic.
As it is, I had very chilled pregnancies and calm sections and great recoveries. No after effects. THE BEST decisions I ever made.

The only non traumatic part of labour and birth for me!

What happens if you aren’t perfectly capable of giving birth
I certainly can’t (tilted pelvis)
My EMCS and planned CS didn’t feel like major trauma. Infact I hosted a barbecue on the day I got out of hospital and was driving 10 days later after my planned CS. I didn’t even need pain killers

Those women in my NCT group who suffered trauma and damage because of the birth were the women who didn’t have a EMCS or planned CS

I really don’t think we should be vindicating one type of birth over the other or presenting our horror stories or good experiences as evidence for someone else.

Every woman and pregnancy is different. The only evidence and opinion any woman should be paying attention to is that given by her doctor who has a full awareness of her medical history and risk profile.

Has your husband given birth yet OP? Did it hurt? Tell him it won't be so bad next time.

I think this is a spam post initialised to wind people up. And it worked.
