Sadly Spain is providing ample evidence of why this is all a terrible idea.

Spain’s ‘trans equality’ law is a predator’s charter

Gender self-ID has eviscerated women’s rights.

Do you realise that JK is famously anti-Tory?

And your point is?

And your point is?

You're clearly trying to convince people to vote Tory.

It's odd that you're trying to make out that JK would support them.

Absym · 02/04/2024 14:17

😂🙈 Absolutely no comprehension skills in evidence there at all. In fact the lack of logic in your conclusions is astounding.

You're clearly trying to convince people to vote Tory.

No, no I’m not.

It's odd that you're trying to make out that JK would support them.

Nope. Not doing that either.

JK Rowling is well known for supporting Labour under Gordon Brown but has been very critical of the party since. And hardly surprising when you look at their position on women's rights.

The Scottish hate crime legislation wasn't just voted for by the SNP. It was also supported by almost all of the Labour MSPs, (and Greens/Lib Dems). There were hardly any dissenting voices amongst those parties. In contrast, something like 28 Conservative MSPs voted against it with only 1 voting for it.

So if Labour has a landslide win at the next general election then it should hardly be a surprise when anti-women legislation like this comes to the UK as well.

Exactly.

@CrappySack To help you out. I’m saying don’t vote Labour because they will fck women over if they’re in power.

I’ve got no idea what JKR’s current political views are. Short of being a Labour supporter in the past (weren’t we all), and currently disgusted with them due to their shocking position on women (I’d like to say aren’t we all, but sadly it appears that that is not the case)

But the choice is basically Tory or Labour in most areas.

A lot of people have been very clear about how the Tories actually have fucked women over.

The choice is a party with a clear track record of fucking women over (plus children, disabled people, anyone needing NHS treatment now or wanting it in the future) and of lying vs one that might fuck over women. Not great choices, but an easy choice for me.

Absym · 03/04/2024 11:55

Don’t know who I’ll vote for yet, but it sure as hell won’t be for Labour who state that some women have penises. They actually think that thousands of women could have great walloping hard ons. Yes that’s true. A woman (ahem) with a flaccid little thing, or a great walloping hard on will be allowed, even encouraged, to (for example) be in the same changing room as girls and women.

So no thank you. If Labour cannot accept that my biological sex exists, they cannot possibly protect it.

You really do go out of your way to be as vulgar and offensive as possible, don’t you? I can’t see that kind of disgusting post persuading anyone.

Just kidding. I was always going to vote Labour.

Vulgar? We are supposed to use sweet feminine language are we? TWAW, thousands of women have male genitalia? Is that ok? Can we say shhh penis? Is that ok?

What it means irl is that we are not saying what is actually going to happen if / when biological woman denying Labour get in to power.

What is actually going to happen is that A woman (ahem) with a flaccid little thing, or a great walloping hard on will be allowed, even encouraged, to (for example) be in the same changing room as girls and women.

If that language offends you, tough sht. It offends me for a potentially predatory man (ie. Any man) to be in women’s and children’s spaces. It offends me for my womanhood to be reduced to being a non man, cis gender, a womb haver or whatever other misuse of the English language some people think it is acceptable to use.

So toughen up buttercup. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. I’m afraid Labour aren’t doing enough to beat the tories yet, and you know it. Perhaps Starmer does have some secret plans we’ve not been told yet. Unless one of them is to define biological women and pledge to protect biological women’s spaces, he will lose many votes.

The election is Labours to lose, as we all know. We also all know that Labour know very well how to steal defeat from the jaws of victory.

Unfortunately I think we need vulgarity to get tye message through to people. Things have been polite for so long that reality has been disguised.

Many think a transwoman is a woman who wished to be male, so of course they support her being in female spaces.
If they know that it is the other way round they think it is someone who has had a sex change operation.
If they know that isn't the case they think they are a gay or effeminate male who has had medication to stop them being able to get an erection.
If they are aware that may not be the case they think it will be the case that the person will at least dress as a female and not want to stand out.

Most people have no idea of AGP or the thrill that some males get from pushing boundaries and being where they are not wanted. They don't understand that some do not "feel female" and find it a turn on to be in those places, making it obvious to everyone that they are male but have special privileges so can go where they want with impunity. We need to spell it out. And yes, pointing out that erections in women's changing rooms are happening is the kind of blunt language needed to get through to some people. Being polite and delicate really isn't working.

Edited for typos and to add a sentence for clarity.

It actually works well as more people are seeing how ridiculous and desperate the Tories are becoming.

Keep up the good work OP.

I just saw a thread on Twitter in which women were happily saying how fine they were with males going into gym, etc changing rooms.

I honestly do not understand when it was that so many people decided men were no longer a threat to women. We went from 'Me Too' to 'Nah, there's no problem!' within a few years.

This ⬆️

I see these females sleepwalking into a situation where all women and girls things are deemed 'mixed sex' due to the inclusion of trans identifying men.

Everyone is entitled to live their lives and present themselves how they wish....it's a human right and no one has a problem with that....however, Men are men, regardless of how they identify. They retain their inherent male aggression and only a tiny percentage undergo surgery. So we have male bodied people colonising spaces and sports with no benefit to women at all...

Inclusivity is only a thing if it doesn't exclude 51% of the population ...i.e women.

I don't care if one female says she doesn't have a problem with it....a damn sight more do, and how many more of us are to be ostracised, abused, attacked and tainted due to man swallowing up women's rights as their own???
