I don't meal like bugs, heights, death ... I mean something strange.. unconventional.. something that might need a bit of explanation.

I'll go first -

Water towers ... the thought of them makes me shudder.

There's a certain actor I have a real, physical reaction to, he makes me feel ill, I can't look at photos of him, I have never seen a film of his, even writing this is making me feel queasy.

No idea why at all, he's the only person I feel like this about, and he's probably really lovely, I just can't read anything about him to find out 🤣

HungryForUdon · 10/03/2024 21:55

Buses.

ZetuianRose · 10/03/2024 21:56

I have submechanophobia

JaneIves · 10/03/2024 21:56

Wind turbines.
Creepy bastards.

Gawdimold · 10/03/2024 21:57

Polystyrene

Couldntgiveafunk · 10/03/2024 21:57

The bits in the bottom of the washing up bowl

RicePuddingWithCinnamon · 10/03/2024 21:57

Plug holes.

stayathomer · 10/03/2024 21:57

I know you say heights isn’t weird but it is when you get to the top of a not very high stairs and feel the need to stand at the nearest wall!!! There’s a shopping Center I can’t go into because their escalators TERRIFY me!!

Dustpantsandbush · 10/03/2024 21:57

People in animal costumes.

WingsofRain · 10/03/2024 21:58

Tissues, loo roll and other flimsy paper. It makes me genuinely feel shaky, sweaty and nauseous.

My local area is covered in the vile stuff.

Hotgirlwinter · 10/03/2024 21:59

Google earth

when you click on a location and you have no idea what you will see as you scan around an area. Bork

Also, the sea. Not the coast but like the ocean. Absolutely no need for it to be so vast and dark.
Hideous

NotaNorovirusFan · 10/03/2024 21:59

Anything very large like wind turbines. I often have dreams where I’m walking somewhere I know really well but a really massive rock has suddenly appeared on the path and it really scares me, I always wake up feeling unsettled.. but why am I scared of big rocks 🤷‍♀️

DimplesToadfoot · 10/03/2024 21:59

Chicken Pie

BobbyBiscuits · 10/03/2024 22:00

Margarine. Don't call it butter. Even seeing someone spreading it, I can tell. It's not just a dislike, the whole concept of it is disgusting. It's a byproduct from the petrochemical industry and ruins anything it touches. The smell, the greasiness. Gawd...

SheRasBra · 10/03/2024 22:00

Had a terrible problem with balloons all my life but knew I had to try and get over it when we had kids. It's largely under control these days in that I no longer feel the need to behave like some people do when a wasp is buzzing round them.

blitzen · 10/03/2024 22:01

ZetuianRose · 10/03/2024 21:56

I have submechanophobia

Yes, I think this is something I have too. I've never put it to the test but I am freaked out by it in principle.

YewandOak · 10/03/2024 22:01

Sunflowers.
No idea why,but they give me the heebie jeebies.

WhatADayToHaveEyes · 10/03/2024 22:02

People standing on things that aren’t meant to be stood on. Tables and chairs for example

TotalDramarama24 · 10/03/2024 22:02

I don't know if it's a phobia as such but i can't stand it if anyone touches my wrists. It makes me feel physically sick. When doctors sometimes have to take my pulse it takes all the strength I have to last those few seconds.

Keepingongoing · 10/03/2024 22:02

Slugs.
Especially the big ones. I found one in my fridge once. That was a difficult day.

littlehorsesthatrun · 10/03/2024 22:03

people touching the ends of their fingers together.

DistressedDamson · 10/03/2024 22:04

Thankfully you don’t see them too often these days (did years ago/my childhood though😨)- toilets with high up black cisterns😦

WhatADayToHaveEyes · 10/03/2024 22:04

Also bits of food in the washing up water or sink. I physically shudder at that one.

Lovehearts82 · 10/03/2024 22:04

Trypophobia is mine, but it think its a common one. Its a fear or aversion to small holes, clusters or bumps. 😫 Just typing that made me cringe.

Genuinely interested. How do you wipe your bum?
