Last year they gave out gin and things this year I got a free Christmas tree bubble and then just loads of money off crap that I don’t want

I got the free hand cream but nothing free since only money off stuff. Today's was 10% off nuts. Yesterday 10% off plants. Tomorrow will probably be 5% off whatever. Been a loyal customer for years. Mum bought my clothes out of Marks since middle sixties and I have continued though the last 5 years not so much. 2 years ago I got a large jar of Percy Pigs as one of my offers on my Sparks card. The offers are definitely dwindling.

I got the free ornament today. I spend about £50 per year at M&S.

Sometimes it pays to not be a loyal customer. They know that some people will continue to give them custom regardless of freebies but want to entice new customers to have a browse in the hope that they shop more.

I think that Sparks is pretty crap as a reward scheme tbh but I suspect that M&S customers don’t want it to be as in your face as supermarkets like Tesco.

I agree @Diaria the M&S offering is absolutely rubbish this year - I'm yet to be offered anything for free and the discounts are items I'm not buying anyway, so nothing useful. Nothing offered so far will entice me into the shop or online.
The Boots Advantage loyalty card has been much better with extra points offered that accumulate (no points for M&S) and useful discounts.

10% off nuts here too today. I don't eat nuts! Have never brought any either.

I did get a free box of Colin chocs last week which I claimed. I paid for a new pair of pyjamas at the same time so obviously got 10% off pjs the next day. I go to M&S roughly once a week but don't spend huge amounts. My parents do their whole weekly food shop there and their offers have been worse than mine.

I think their algorithm has decided they don't need to make an effort with me. I go to M&S every week and all I've had is stupid discounts on things I don't want like 20% off wrapping paper or biscuits.

Yep all discount codes that don’t last very long. One free gift - some hand cream.

I got hand cream and quite impressed it’s a nice one and good size
also had mini panettone and when I looked at the terms and conditions it says includes mini panettone or all butter mince pies, so I got some mince pies today yum!

I got 10% of nuts today, so did DS1. I’ve, also, had 20% of wrapping paper but I bought that in October and have wrapped my presents. I got 10% off flowers last Sunday after I sent flowers to DDIL on Saturday 🙄

The only thing I’ve been given free is a mini perfume, in store only and out of stock in my local store… the rest were just discounts like 10% off nuts or 20% Christmas jumpers. The only one I’ve used is 20% off pyjamas. Which makes it still better than the JL one!

I agree, I save about a grand with boots every year and get about £200-500 points (availing of every possible offer from recycling to free gifts and so forth)

I have learnt what a pannettone is through this thread.

I got a free perfume but other than that it's just been discounts.

For anyone having trouble with the app, I also had problems initially but I've updated the app to the latest version and it's been fine since.

I've had free gifts every day except two, when I got 20% off slippers and today, 15% off cheese!

I've had a fragrance society hand cream, apothecary room spray, perfume, percy pig train, socks, chocolate coins and hanging decoration.

Reading this thread it sounds like I've been really lucky if it's random!

DH got Percy Pig Train today. He opened the door in store so I beetled off to get one and have requisitioned it. He also got frozen mini bites the first day.
I got 10% off port and I hate the stuff and the only freebie is hand cream and I've already got loads.

We spend £££s in there but DH is getting all the good stuff, not me.

What a lot of moaning. You're not paying for it yet you're moaning about getting some free stuff and discounts. I wouldn't blame them if they didn't bother next year.

I'm quite new to the sparks card, and seem to have similar to others - a free lip balm then lots of 10% of vouchers.

Can I ask how the sparks card works? I've used it for a 10% off clothes a few months ago when there was a voucher. Otherwise I haven't scanned it as there doesn't seem to be any advantage to scanning. Have a got it right? How do M&S know what you buy or do you scan every time even if you don't get anything?

I've got a free pastry today. The rest have been money off things I won't buy.
