the couple made it very clear to CBC officers during their initial interactions and throughout court proceedings that they believe the law of the Cayman Islands does not apply to them and that they do not recognize the jurisdiction of this country.
Although appearing during the trial on September 3rd and 4th, they refused to participate in the proceedings and refused legal counsel assigned to them.

How arrogant.

Thank you. I found the first video very hard to hear with all the background noise, but got the gist of it. The levels of delusion are astonishing. Thank goodness the children are safe and with foster carers. Hopefully they will receive a stable upbringing now. I can't understand how these two idiots didn't put their children first to start with and avoid all this horrible mess.

I thought I heard the lady protesting say something about people getting worried when Iuliia got pregnant? That could explain why they set off to give birth on a beach in the first place.

They also talked about a family that Clive and Iuliia were trying to help, but it went wrong. Are these the people they were trying to smuggle, who complained that they were being kept as slaves, that they are now in prison for?

I think we're at the stage that if it was a Netflix Original (based on a true story), we'd be thinking that they'd stretched the truth a lot, it's such an unbelievable set of circumstances.

It's very difficult to tell what is deliberate lies and what is just deluded tosh.

am presuming he will be recalled to serve the rest of his time in uk prison from charges in 2020.
