To ask if anyone else is dressing up for Barbie movie?

I know it’s a bit silly and we should all do what we are comfortable with of course…

But are you dressing up for it if you’re seeing it?

DD and I have matching T shirts from Primark we're going to wear when we go. I tried to persuade DH to get the Ken shirt but he wouldn't.

I am watching Barbie with my mum friends and of course we will be wearing pink! As we have no reason to take life so seriously and i cannot wait!

I'm taking DD (8) and was genuinely considering making some kind of effort in this direction. Not sure what though as we don't have many pink clothes... might hit the charity shop and see what I can find! Failing that I will dig out some plastic tiaras from her dressing up box!

Didn't people dress up to watch the minions movie? Not something I would do but hardly exclusive to barbie

Yes. It's mandatory and they won't sell you the tickets if you don't. And if you somehow manage to persuade them, the door staff will beat you up until you swear to wear fancy dress next time. Coz it's an act of oppression, innit?

I worked in a cinema as a teenager...its been a thing for decades... people have been doing it since the rocky horror show!

My daughter has a new barbie top (Tesco special) I was contemplating, picking one up and maybe us both wearing one.
