To ask if anyone else is dressing up for Barbie movie?

I know it’s a bit silly and we should all do what we are comfortable with of course…

But are you dressing up for it if you’re seeing it?

Yes! I've got a Barbie t-shirt which I'll wear with pink shorts, and gonna paint my nails pink.

I haven't been this excited for a new film in ages!

@FussyPud I’m off to Rocky Horror at the theatre on Saturday. Tempted to go in my Barbie T-Shirt. I think Frank would approve and Janet probably played with Barbies 😂
Oh oh…. I am going to re name my Barbie and Ken to Brad and Janet and maybe take them to Rocky too 😂😂😂

Blimey, this film has really been hyped to the max, hasn’t it? 😆

I guess if that type of film was to your taste as an adult then you’d probably quite like the dressing up bit too if this has become a thing on social media and what’a wrong with that? I’m not a fan of the commercialised merchandise bits with these overly hyped films, as some people said they will be in landfill in a few months. But if you already like Barbie pink anyway then why not wear it?

I saw the trailer at the Prince Charles cinema months ago, and decided there and then to see it as soon as it was released. Thankfully I have lots of pink clothes already, none of which are headed for landfill any time soon 😊.

That said, I'm seriously tempted by that t-shirt 😀

Both DC and I wore our spiderman tshirts to the latest spiderman film.

Sadly I will have to see barbie on my own and.i am fat and middle aged so I would look daft dressed up but I might paint my nails bright pink.

People I know are dressing up for it. Life and the world at large has been a horrible rollercoaster for several years and there’s nothing wrong with taking a couples of hours to have some frivolous communal fun.
That said, many here may prefer a dose of Oppenheimer.

Nothing wrong if you do, hope you enjoy the film. A plea to ensure that you and your children behave such that others can enjoy it.

I've enjoyed several films that Greta Gerwig has been in or has directed, this seems very different from all the others.
