To ask if anyone else is dressing up for Barbie movie?

I know it’s a bit silly and we should all do what we are comfortable with of course…

But are you dressing up for it if you’re seeing it?

Yep I am. Just this morning I tried on a hot pink skirt by Kate spade bought in 2018 in a fancy resale shop for my daughter. Been holding on to it since then for a reason! My 65 y.o co worker has a head to toe with purse outift put together right out of her closet. Come on Barbie let’s go party!

@Needmorelego that's great, so my argument doesn't really apply to you in the same way. But I'm sure many people won't re-wear these clothes once the novelty has worn off! Hopefully they might get use as PJ's if not out the house

My DDs, DH and myself are all dressing up for it! We have tickets for tomorrow night. We can’t wait - we first heard about hum this movie five years ago. So yep. Definitely wearing pink 💕

We're going as a group of mums and daughters and we're wearing Barbie T-shirts. They're not matching though. I haven't been this excited about a film for years!

I am loving all the barbie pink themes that are coming out. I keep seeing adverts for barbie burgers with pink buns, pink pickled onions etc. I want to eat them all!!

Will paint my nails pink and take pin gin with me 😂

Yes. It's mandatory and they won't sell you the tickets if you don't. And if you somehow manage to persuade them, the door staff will beat you up until you swear to wear fancy dress next time. Coz it's an act of oppression, innit?

I have Barbie pink nails in honour and I watching it tomorrow in a pink dress with pink earrings and it is the eve of my 45 birthday and I am soooooo happy about it!!!

If I was going, I 100% would.
I'm dying to see it but not well enough to go the cinema yet, but when it comes out at home I'm gonna barbie pj up and do something fun for DP and I.
Might make a pink platter of food 😂

People have been dressing up to movies for years. Rocky Horror, LORT, Avatar (air bender not the James Cameron snooze fest) etc. People won’t be, but who cares if you do?

I think it's cute. I'm not personally going because I have terrible morning sickness but I will enjoy seeing all the photos. Some of you need to grow up and learn to find the joy in life, I really can't stand the moody too cool for school act.

My 16-year-old DS and his friends are talking about going in suits. They did it for Minions but I'm surprised the Barbie movie is even on their radar. They are talking about missing the F1 for it, and they don't miss the F1 for anything.
